Hugo and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful and very friendly! No hovering, but always available if I had questions!!
Update - fast forward a month or so: While I was very pleased the day I made my purchase, that changed fairly quickly. *I made a large purchase, which included some sale items on the floor. I was told that those items would be held at the store and delivered when my other items were delivered from the warehouse after my closing date. Approx 2.5 wks after the order was placed I received a rather rude voicemail along w/ 2 text messages from an employees personal cell phone wanting to know when I was going to pick up the items. I explained the situation which ultimately led to him saying that he would cancel the order. When I informed him that it was not only sale items, and that the ENTIRE order would need to be cancelled he backtracked and said he would have a manager call me. He never did. I called for 2 days leaving very detailed voicemails, still no one returned my call. I ended up going into the store and speaking with the manager who seemed rather annoyed that I was even there. The following things also happened..... Not one time did he apologize for anything at this point, and then told me that my delivery dates could not be met, as I was originally told. He said that they don't do deliveries on Monday, and don't deliver to Lexington on Tuesdays. I was not told either of those things the day of purchase. Also, I am a nightshift nurse so it makes rearranging my schedule very difficult. *Thankfully the store manager was able to arrange the Tuesday delivery after all. *The sale items would not be delivered, I would have to arrange for that. I was in the process of buying a home, which is stressful enough as it is. I ended up having to pay my movers to pick up these items, which was an extra charge on an already huge expense. *When my movers arrived at the store to pick up, they had to disassemble and load the items themselves. Slats for the bed, and a charging piece for the nighstand were missing. I suppose I'll never see those. *When the other items came from the warehouse, the gentlemen brought in my sofa, which just so happen to be next to my router/modem for my wifi. Instead of moving them, or asking me to move them, they placed the sofa on the floor and slid it over top of them.
Needless to say, I am less than pleased with this experience. I urge anyone planning to shop at the Salisbury Ashley store to get everything up front, in writing and don't assume that they are doing anyting other than trying to make a sale. I will take my business elsewhere...
   Read moreThis may be a longer review but we had a great experience and would like to share! My fiancĂŠ and I were looking to change our âL-shapedâ couch into 2 couches for our living room space. We already had an idea of wanting a couch with a console and recliners for one. The other could be a couch with no specific features, just length had to be taken into consideration. We chose this store first due to it just opening not long ago and we had some couches from another furniture company in town that had not lasted more than 4 years. Upon entering this store, we were immediately greeted by Justin Bachman. He automatically sketched out our living room and had several options for us. We took our time and it wasnât long until we determined the quality that every couch had. Justin was with us through the entire process. We decided to try another store in Concord due to the Veterans Day sales they were running. Justin understood and told us what time he was at the store until in case we came back. The other store was packed, but noticed every employee sitting along a couch talking amongst themselves. We were greeted, shown 2 couches, and left to look by ourselves. We didnât see anything offered that had the features of the ones we loved at Ashley. We also thought the ones at the competitor store felt worn in already and knew the quality would not compare to the previous ones at Ashley. We quickly made up our minds about getting the ones we had seen earlier. We still tried a few to verify our choices, and again, Justin was with us the entire time and helped throughout the whole purchasing process. It was also helpful that this store offered 60 month financing. The other store only offered 55 month financing. Another bonus is that while we were at the store, every employee came to talk to us and made us feel welcome! We cannot say enough good things about this store!    Read moreI can't even express my disappointment enough with this location. I bought a dinner table 2 months ago and said it would be 2 weeks o deliver (no problem). But due to their "internet outage" it lasted a month of no idea when the table would be delivered. So I was told I'd get compensation over the phone and in person at the store.
I finally got my table after a month and a week, so I ask the store when I would get my compensation and the store then told me "We actually won't be able to do that.", so I fought tooth and nail for over a month to get my compensation and I finally got it after continuous calls, emails, in person visits.
I THEN try to go use my "gift card" Ashley Store sent me and they tell me "Oh you don't have the actual card... We can't get into our system to give you store credit, you'll have to come another time".
This place is an actual joke and Ashley Furniture should be embarrassed. I even counted, i went to the Ashley Store over 10+ times to figure it out and there was always some sort of problem. I Don't recommend EVER going to Ashley Furniture. It was a waste of time, I will NEVER shop there again and will spread the word on how AWFUL the Salisbury Ashley is. Still never got my actual gift card....
BTW so people know all these "great reviews" are mostly store employees and bots trying to make the place look better. Employees are supposed to do this. Don't be deceived....
