I swear i need to stop being so trustworthy that the Food King Partners pay attention to their dairy section and start checking expirations better. I usually do but I was on a time crunch and didn't check the expiration on the small milk I bought.. and it expired 2days ago.. today is the 1st and the milks expiration is on the 29th of Sept.. last time I almost purchased a creamer that had been expired for weeks all of that brand Had been actually.. and I discreetly told an employee because as someone that works as a stocker at a bigger grocery store here in town that's just not acceptable... didn't even bother to try to take it back it was less than $2 and I was already frustrated. I think the employees need to have a refresher on stocking and checking out of dates.

I like this store, they have a lot of things for sale that we enjoy. The tortillas are great, only eclipsed by the local bakeries. The staff are very nice. The restroom is scary, but I'm glad they have one. Things have changed a bit. I know that the powers in charge have weakened our purchasing power, but please be honest. This last carton of "large" Food Club eggs only qualifies as small. Small eggs are fine, just sell them that way. In the photo is a Food Club carton of "large" eggs next to a carton of large eggs purchased from another store. Please fix this.

I would love Food King but the pharmacy has been difficult because my identification expired. I do though love the bakery items and the fresh produce, and of course, I love the low prices!!!

I like this little store. Seems to be the closest place to shop for me. Would like to have an HEB near the base. Hate to drive towards the mall for everything. This city seems focused on keeping business towards that side of town. So downtown is better for my store to go shopping at. Wal Mart is to far for me to care about. So Food King is my main store for those home steaks, beer, and snacks that my family depends and loves. 98% of my food is from here. The rest is at dollar general. Best prices in town and often on par with HEB. Only thing missing is the sushi bar. Till HEB build's a store near the base then will the completion be done. Till then most East Angeloans do hate to commute to the west just for those stores much less the mall. If only most stores were like bars downtown. Then maybe it would be competitive and better shopping. Till then I like this store cause at least you're a customer first not just another number to them. The jalapenos and most fruit seem a bit fresher...

Meat is low quality and produce alot of times not fresh. Some even moldy. Meat dept sales are filled with packages too big. Chicken is frozen & 5 pounds could have to thaw out to put in less quantity bags not healthy for consumers, taste is different & I believe fill with hormones & medications given toake chicken bigger. The butchers need to do etyer job on their meat cits. Often not uniform in size & grislly .People at registers often rude, non organized. Waited in line 20 minites, no carry out & when I walked outside 5 people on break smoking. Management seems Non existent I highly recommend to revamping to achieve higher quality of products, better attention to butchers cutting meat uniformly & get the Dale's down to smaller quantities & offered fresh not frozen. I only go there since it's close but prefer Central Market as they have very good sales, great customer service & higher quality of products. HEB is very good products & prices but better customer...

This is the neighborhood market where me and my family do grocery shopping and purchase fresh fruit and veggies. It's a good reasonable coupon distribution store. It has most of your needs or basic products. It has a nice meat market with an assortment of different types of meat refrigerated on the cooler pantry ready for selections. Very convenient supermarket and they have a restroom to use. Also a pharmacy is connected inside this store. An ATM machine and a couple of other vending machines that I didn't have a clue what they offer. I usually hurry my shopping due to my inability to be in crowded places because of my disability. I manage through family members support and watch. Nonetheless I do enjoy shopping here. They also have a bakery where they bake donuts, bread, and fresh tortillas. An assortment of pastries and cakes on display waiting to be bought and consumed. Excellent less traffic and faster checkout than other...
