First off, I want to explain that I understand that this is a place for children or family. My girlfriend and I went there because she had been there many years ago, and I had never been to a mirror made before. It's really neat for the first minute or so and then it gets boring. You're done with the course from start to finish, then in reverse in about 3 minutes or less. Most of the mirrors had smudges on them from people running into them and children not wearing their gloves, so it's very easy to navigate through. The maze was interesting and was suitably lighted for the setting. The price however is NOT worth the experience. I paid 34 dollars for just my girlfriend and I. When I got home I looked at their website online and there are 2 choices to choose from. The cheaper option at 13.99 includes unlimited access to the mirror maze only. The pricier option, (which is the option I was given at the register) at 16.99 includes the same as the cheaper, as well as, unlimited access to some sort of laser beam obstacle course. Obviously I'm not there for that.. The cashier rang this up without asking me which option I wanted. Seeing how I'm an adult and with a lady I would assume the cashier would automatically think that I would not be interested in the laser beam course. At the very least he should have asked me which option I wanted, because there is no sign with any pricing in the lobby or line area; and seeing how I'm with a woman and no children, I just feel that it should have been common sense. But to be fair, I didn't ask either. I still give this business 3 stars. Only because my girlfriend got to visit an old memory, I got to experience something new, and this establishment is conveniently located on the river walk. Other than that, this course is seriously only worth 3 dollars a person. I personally would have not pay a penny more than that for what I...
Read more5 stars for the maze on the 1st floor ZERO stars for “escape” rooms. The employees are very unenthusiastic and not helping. you have to stand around and waste a ton of time to try to get into these rooms and We did three of the six rooms. on the third room I came out halfway. None of the rooms work. they have broken filthy items that don’t make any sense- nobody’s helping you with the clues you get an old dirty laminated paper with the clues. dirty broken for over $150 for four people it’s a very pricey lastly disappointment. The third floor has the dark maze. we only went in about 5 feet and turned back around and came out. two of four people went all the way through and said it was basically a McDonald’s playground in a dark room. the raid ‘sequence’ room was ok it was a simon style game in a small booth- smelled horrible in there, & we only spent 30 seconds in there. they do have a giant light bright which is neat if you have never seen one and a magnet wall maze you can build for a ball like seen at a typical children’s museum. there are great things to see. but those escape rooms are no good. lastly, the vault is the laser thing, it is barely visible & smells horrible. basically you have to roll around on the dirty floor to get through it. I let the kids do it but I think it was filthy. we spent two hours in this place. The kids said they like it so if you have a group of kids I’m sure it’ll be fine. only complaining about a couple of smells and escape rooms are terrible. Rainbow color maze with lights is worth coming to this place. It would’ve been great if they made it bigger or repeated it with different versions of it all throughout. make sure you get some candy on the way out cause at least you’re getting something on...
Read moreMy new husband and I were doing a short stay-cation on the San Antonio Riverwalk after our wedding. We did not know this, but apparently people give you cash on your wedding day, so we had a little extra money and decided to spend it doing things we would not normally spend on. We happened upon the Mirror Maze on a google search of the downtown area and decided to give it a shot. Let me tell you, this was well worth the money spent and a great way to kill an hour or two on a hot summer afternoon. When you get there they give you a stamp that way you can visit as many times as you like throughout the day. Then, they ask you to put on gloves so you don’t get fingerprints on the mirrors as you fumble your way through. I made a joke about homicide that the employee didn’t laugh at. In hindsight, I regret that. Then you go in the maze one way and it is super fun and nothing gets better than that, right? Wrong! When you come out they send you right back in, but this time with 3D glasses, and you have to find your way back out. The 3D glasses “enhance your experience” and they sure do. You will likely get a headache from the combination of that and laughing so hard the entire time.
They also offer a super cool laser “Mission Impossible” style thing. My only peeve with that one was people kept cutting in front of us and we didn’t get to play in that as much as we would have liked.
Overall, 9/10. It’s a little on the pricy side, but it’s good,...
