Quick dessert run after my husband's birthday celebration because one of the guests visiting San Diego wanted some good dessert. The idea was to get gelato and cookies from somewhere but then I suggested The Baked Bear because you could get it all in one through an ice cream sandwich!

So many good options for the cookies and the ice creams and the toppings, it's hard to pick what to go for!

I made a really good one for my husband: Brownie base Caramel Pretzel Fudge Ice Cream Caramel Pretzel Cookie on top (a seasonal flavor) Toppings: Crushed Oreo, Crushed Heath Bar Freaking amazing combination! He just loved it and devoured it. Of course, I tried it as well and it was so good! The ice cream on its own was amazing as well. It actually had pretzel pieces inside and it was just beautiful. And together with the brownie and the cookie everything went together so well!

We LOVED this place!!! Over the last 2 years we’ve been to PB at least a dozen times and never get to hit The Baked Bear and a couple days ago we FINALLY did!! The service was just ok, the women working weren’t the friendliest or patient especially for it being dead inside and knowing we were first timers. Anyway, the ice cream was delicious and so were the cookies! My husband and I both did the “build your own” option and I had Top/Bottom- Snickerdoodle, Middle- Blackberry Crumble Ice Cream & Topping- Sliced Almonds. My husband had Too/Bottom- White Chocolate Macadmia Nut Cookies, Middle- Vanilla Ice Cream & Topping- Hot Fudge (Both warm pressed). Our total was $12 (after militry discount) we decided to eat outside because inside was so hot and the weather was perfect outside! We loved the ice cream, and the serving size was exceptional!
