I am actually at the hotel as we speak. The hotel is OK. The carpets in the rooms are old and so faded, but not as old as the mattresses. Oh my! We are staying in the suite which just means the room is a little larger which is great when you have kids. Bathrooms are clean and nice if you like c spiders. The breakfast isn't that great. Eggs are powdered. The pancakes are not fresh and the coffee is horrible. Here is my huge compliant.... after a long day in Santa Cruz my son got sick in our hotel room. I am a single mom of two and had know one to help me, so as I went to call the front desk for towels the phone in the room didn't work. I scrambled and found my phone and called the front desk ( mean while I am trying to help my son who is throwing up and my daughter is in the tub). When the lady (I will find out her name) answers I tell her our phone doesn't work and she says that she doesn't know what to tell me... Argh! I then proceed to tell her that my son is sick and I need some towels in a hurry. Well, she tells me that she can't leave the front desk. I then tell her I can't leave my kids by them selves let alone my son who is throwing up. She tells me oh well. I guess you will figure something out. This lady never said I am sorry or anything. I an still so mad at how inconsiderate and cold hearted she was. This place doesn't go out of there way for there customers and I do not recommend it. Just horrible. She wasn't the only one that was rude either.
