The Santa Fe Wine and Chile Fiesta is a great experience. I highly recommend it for anyone with an interest in wine and food!
The Spanish Wine and Cheese pairing was wonderful! Great products and information. What’s best is that you can try the same pairings once you get home!
The Grand Tasting on Saturday was amazing in spite of the weather! Great small plates and wines! One small suggestion would be to publish a list of each small plate with its corresponding restaurant. That way, if we like a dish, we can be sure to go visit the restaurant in the future. (It’s difficult to keep track of what small plate came from which restaurant while at the event…)
Also as mentioned in another review, there need to be enough chairs for all.
Overall, great event! We will return...
Read moreWe traveled from out of state to attend this annual event. Lots of food and wine vendors to sample. They did let us in prior to the starting time of noon. We appreciated the lanyard that holds the wine glass. It rained, which put a damper on the event, no fault of the organizers. Lots of poseurs who buy cowboy boots and hats for this event, never to wear them again. Many people congregate and talk around the food tables while you're waiting in line to get a morsel of food, which makes the area congested. Could have included a whole lot more chairs to sit on. I saw a few potential fights due to not enough seating. People saving chairs/tables for people who are not even there. There are bar level tables to eat/drink at but not sit at. We will not be back...
Read moreParking for this event was woefully inadequate. I was told by security that I could park on the Old Taos Highway. There were no "no parking signs where I parked in a line of cars parked on the diagonal. I got a ticket. Many of the security people were rude and unhelpful though not all, when I asked which way to go and where I could park. There was not enough parking at the cathedral. Also as a vegan this was disappointing. I managed to find 4 small bites I could eat, out of probably 75 options.. None of them had any chile on them, even the vegan taco (which consisted of coleslaw) that claimed to have green chile in it most certainly did not. There was more craft beer than wine...
