Lido Beach Pavilion — Attraction in Sarasota

Very disappointing..i have eaten here for decades..i couldn't believe it....food was horrendous. New owners really have dropped the ball here. My fish taco was like chewing on rubber. Obviously well over cooked. French fries was the greasiest disgusting fries I have had in a long long time...all of us had abdominal distress after ingesting the the dishes prepared and as you can imagine threw the rest of the food out...I wonder if the workers there even know what they are doing...suggestion: bring your own food.$58...

Fat, fresh and flavorful sum up the fantastic lobster rolls at the Lido Beach Pavilion. A brioche bun lined with lettuce leaves brims with large chunks of lobster that deliver maximum taste with minimum filler. After eating the generously sized $18 sandwich, which is served with tortilla chips, you’ll feel as if you enjoyed not only a great feast, but also a good value. A side of super-crispy, completely non-greasy French fries, accompanied by a frosty drink from the bar across the walkway, completes the meal...

I love this beach, because I seldom have a challenge finding a free parking spot and the beach is not as crowded as the other Sarasota Beach locations. The pavilion has a cafe with a variety of food and light alcohol. There is also a swimming pool that you can pay to use, when it is open, lots of covered places to eat near the beach. Within walking distance you also have St. Armands Circle with an abundance of fine restaurants and shops, mangrove canoe rentals to explore the bay, and a tiki hut beach bar...
