The public beach in Sarasota is honestly one of the cleanest and most relaxing beaches I’ve been to. From the moment I arrived, everything felt well taken care of—from the freshly raked sand to the clean restrooms and outdoor showers. Parking was free and surprisingly easy, which made the whole visit even more enjoyable. The water was beautiful—calm, warm, and crystal clear, with plenty of space to spread out whether you were there to swim, sunbathe, or just enjoy the breeze. The sand was soft and white, perfect for walking barefoot or just lounging without needing a chair. What really stood out to me was how peaceful it felt, even with families and groups nearby. It didn’t feel overly crowded or loud, just a laid-back atmosphere where you could truly relax. Whether you’re visiting from out of town or a local looking for a simple beach day, this public beach is a hidden gem that gives you everything you need without all the touristy chaos. Read moreWhen you arrive the first thing you see is the beautiful white sand beach, we were on the private end actually for most of the time. Though as you get closer a strong scent of fish and seaweed fill your nose. Clean area, very well maintained. Only real downside are the trenches they build to drain into the water. Rode my bike down the beach a few times and gotta watch closely for those or you'll really eat it so to speak. Gorgeous area to watch the sunset, not real crowded at all. Leave your food at home unless you like eating sand! XD

Read moreVery nice and clean beach. Soft sand and usually calm waves. At high tide the beach narrows quite a bit. So if you visit at low tide make sure to occasionally check for flooding of your belongings. Happened to us. While walking along the beach for about an hour we returned to find our chairs, beach bag, under about 2" of water. Be aware! Parking is free (unusual for beach parking) but maybe difficult to find (usual for beach parking). Go early to find easy parking....
