Architectural Salvage is a hidden paradise of quirk and meaning. This store has been my Disneyland since I was in high school, 20 years ago. If you feel stale, and listless, go! If you feel curious and open, go! The entire grounds are a feast for the eyes. Make a word in the sign letter garden. Touch a door from who knows where. Dig through piles of doorknobs, knick knacks and you name it’s. Whether you go there for inspiration, to heal your eyes and brain from technological injuries we sustain on daily basis or to fulfill a crafting desire you just can’t quite put your finger on, this is the shop of delights for you. Why “meaning?” Well, perhaps you need to go to find out!! 😂💜🙏

Ultimately our entire kitchen was renovated before SIX shelves could be made- which is absolutely ridiculous. I told the store(when I ordered and paid 50%)that I had a hard date of wanting them done (as I was having a kitchen reveal party) and (for whatever reasons-there were not really any understandable excuses offered)they did not get them done on the day I had (well in advance) told them I wanted them completed. While Denmy & Taylor were nice to work with- and both offered apologies-the bottom line is it was an extremely unsatisfying experience. Two thumbs...

They have a lot of salvage from the Sarasota area, but they also bring items in from around the state, out of state, and from other countries. They have items that you can use as is, or plenty of things to create youe own masterpiece. It is rare that I leave empty handed whenever I visit.
It is close to downtown Sarasota. So, you can easily make an entire day of cisiting the area if you dont live close. This is what I typically do since I dont live in the area. I dont always visit the other places, but I always visit SAS when I am...
