My husband and I are thrilled that we chose the Charles H. Morris Center for our reception. We had a wonderful time working with John Ford and his team, and were able to plan our wedding from out of town with ease. We chose the Morris Center because the building is absolutely beautiful and walks the line between historical and modern reception hall perfectly. We felt that we were getting the best of historical Savannah, but without sacrificing modern amenities like air conditioning, beautiful restrooms, fully equipped kitchen for the caterer, etc. We loved that we could access the back patio for cocktail hour and for fresh air during the reception, and were extremely grateful to have the Morris Center's tent as a backup rain plan just in case. John Ford and his team are truly the best. They were extremely pleasant to work with, and were always quick to respond. They had an answer and excellent suggestion for every question we sent their way. Since we were planning our wedding from LA, we took comfort knowing that John has a ton of experience with event and wedding planning, and had worked with all of our vendors several times before. We highly highly recommend you book the Morris Center for your reception of special event. Our reception was perfect and exactly what we hoped for!

The Charles Morris Center was the perfect venue for our July 2021 wedding day. This was actually our second venue we booked after having to postpone our 2020 wedding. However, it was our first choice back in 2019 when we began planning, but unfortunately the venue would have been closed during our original NYE 2020 wedding date. Once we postponed, however, we realized that we had settled for our first venue so I reached out to Maria at the Charles Morris Center to inquire details and set-up a visit. Maria is FANTASTIC. She swiftly sent over all of the information we needed, even as she was on an abridged work schedule due to the pandemic and we were able to visit and book. Even better, my planner had worked at this venue multiple times, so their business relationship made this process even more smooth. Located close to the Savannah riverfront with three different spaces for a wedding, it was and is the perfect venue. This was absolutely the silver lining to our postponed wedding. I highly recommend it.

Beautiful venue! The grapevine orbs and exposed brick make for a magical backdrop. Parking is convenient for this downtown location. The staff is friendly, but fairly rigid. Not the most accommodating as far as event coordination is concerned. There’s a sort of take it or leave it attitude from the bar manager. But overall our event was successful.

Just to tell some people, John Davis Florist is not banned from the Morris Center. We just don't like working with them on functions, after a function was over that we have always had an understanding that our things could just be set outside which it was the next morning. We were there the next morning at 9:30 to pick up everything an arbor, vases, urns, votive, boxwood wall, and a kneeling bench... which had all been already thrown away in the trash. They would not even tell me where they disposed of our belongings so I could try to recover my things. The men in charge acted like they did not know anything and it was all the clean up crews fault, which is confusing because it was their clean up crew. The brides family complained of having to load up all the table clothes after the function. This is simply not a good place to rent for any function, due to all of the extra work required by the people paying to rent the place and services. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Morris that own the place would never approve of their business being run in...
