I regret not filtering the review results based on lowest rating before even booking here. All of them I can relate to! Before we even got there, there was an issue between Capital One travel and Hilton that just seemed to want to blame one another rather than helping, including the front desk staff TJ making snarky remarks on the phone and hanging up on me. I tried everything I could to get a refund, because I knew this stay was going to be bad, I came in with the low expectations and that’s exactly what was delivered, low quality. The view is falsely advertised; for $305.68 for ONE night in a king suite river view, we got to enjoy a crane at our window the entire time, and the window is just a tiny window, the view advertised is a full size window river view of the bridge. Upon arriving the Valet told me I could self park my car but they shut the gate and a girl parked a car blocking us from the other entrance telling us we couldn’t go in there. The entire hotel smells like bleach and cologne which gave me breathing issues and the room smelled like cigarettes. The bed is sunken and very uncomfortable. Floors are dirty so definitely bring house shoes to wear. But don’t bothering asking the front desk for help, they will just hang up instead of helping you and send someone from maintenance, however the maintenance guy was super nice! Roof top bar was nice! but lots of kids running around at a bar at 10pm? The bartender was amazing!! The court yard and garden area at the roof top is just full of weeds and unkept. The sidewalk is closed creating a very dangerous situation trying to explore the area, you have to walk on the busy street. The snack selection in the lobby is great and breakfast was good, lots of choices! I did late check out through my reservation at capital one travel, but that’s not honored at their hotel. It’s 11am no exceptions. All in all I’d never stay here again, not for the money they charge at this place and the low quality. I understand there is construction going on and changes being made, but at a premium rate this was a waste.
response Oh no, you can definitely reach out to me. The case department already hung up on me prior to our stay after I waited 45 minutes on the phone for someone and spent 4 hours going back and forth with Capital one & Hilton. My efforts to try have been exhausted; your hotel can make some effort now to reach out if you want to...
Read moreWE HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH HILTON (this specific hotel) WE HAD EVER HAVE HAD FOR SO MANY YEARS. So, my husband has been the Honor Guest for ages: we have been silver, gold and diamond ect. He’s a military active duty, so he and me travel a lot. And we never ever will travel with Hilton anymore after this hotel. We was visiting Savannah for just one night and booked a room in this hotel by the Hilton app for ~$190 after taxes plus $45 for parking. When we checked in it turned out that our room faces the construction mess (on the 3d floor). I actually was ok with that but we had decided to ask if receptionist could do anything with that anyway. Personally me had very positive attitude and thought we would stay there anyway BUT receptionists were SO DISRESPECTFUL!!! TJ and Whitley were yelling at us, and were convinced us that it was all our fault. He said that we “didn’t reserved with a view”. But we didn’t reserve with construction garbage view either. Then we were told that we should book through the website not through the app cause it is the only way you can see the warnings about construction. THAT IS JUST RIDICULOUS! Also, we looked at the website after. And we found out that they had all rooms available in that time. They even had a City view rooms for the same price we paid. So I assume he just didn’t want to work with us in principle. My husband asked if they could change the room - the answer was NO. He asked if we could upgrade our room - answer was NO. He asked to talk to manager - answer was NO. Then he asked for the refund - answer also was NO. So these two staff, who names TJ and Whitley were SOOOO rude and not customer oriented. They were not trying to resolve the problem but just escalated the issue. Whitley was discussing us with another customer just in front of us. ALSO THEY DO CARE IF YOU ARE HONER GUEST OR THROUGH THIRD PARTY. I don’t why by Whitley asked TJ if we are , he said yes and she was kind of disappointed and like “oh ok”. So I felt like if we booked through third party we was treated way worse than we were. I felt like she expected us to be not honer guests so she can proceed with her rudeness.
I was in the mood to stay there even with this “view”. But after all disrespect I WILL NEVER EVER DEAL WITH HILTON.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE !!! Especially for the military families. Cause here you won’t get any support from them...
Read moreI really researched hotels carefully for my family of 5. This was the only hotel offering suites that was in the top 10 so we took a chance. BIG MISTAKE! There are so many things that are wrong but here they are to name a few:
The one redeeming element so far is the huge smile and kindness of Pat in the breakfast area.
We still have two days left so I’m trying to clear my sentiments and enjoy, but in spite of our hotel rather than...
