What happens when you collect a bunch of haunted objects and put them in close proximity to each other? I don't believe in the paranormal. I think it's fun; a gaffe, and I was so excited to visit the new Savannah Paranormal Museum. Owners Christopher Jean Soucy and Megan Jones greeted me at the soft opening (still being constructed) and they were so pleasant and informative, and both really set the mood for the experience. To be frank, I will go anywhere that fellow Henson-enthusiast Chris develops after finding out that he got all of the gears running in the creation of the Medieval Torture Museum (Chicago). I just want to touch him, he's such a celebrity to me now 😂 The themes that they incorporate to the world-building in each room are unlike anything else you'll find in Savannah, and their largest room - that displays a toy monkey (and you know that I got a real kick out of the monkey after just watching the Stephen King adaption) - freaked me the HELL out and you will see why once you visit!!! Standing in the aforementioned room made me feel disoriented, and it grew to the point where I felt as if I was going to tip over and/or go blind. I do not know why. Again, I don't believe in the paranormal but I do believe in energy, and that it lingers. I don't want to sound like a kook and say that this museum is playing with fire but, whew, if I did believe, I absolutely got my money's worth. Nobody better not play any games once they visit and open something crazy. No, no, no. It's the strangest thing. Once I left, the disorientation lifted. It was like a rinse. I'll be sure to revisit once the museum's fully developed. And, now that I know what to expect, I'll try to get my bearings the second time around.

This place is great! Such a great museum for such a spooky town! I come to Savannah often and look for things to do inside that I’ve never done before and the Savannah Paranormal Museum more than fits that bill. Such an interesting place, chocked full of history about Savannah. Some stuff I knew about and a LOT I hadn’t heard of! There were fun things like cryptids, scavenger hunt, secret invisible messages, and haunted crowd sourced experiment. And the DOLLS! So creepy! Something cool even happened while I was there, the people who run the museum received a box with haunted doll from someone in Colorado with a cryptic message and just a first name. Not sure if that type of thing happens to them all the time, but I felt lucky to be there when it did. It was a short trip to Savannah this time but I really want to go back for their after hours discovery after dark ghost hunt thing! It sounds so cool! 10/10 would recommend!

👻 Today, I popped into the Savannah Paranormal Museum. It’s super interactive; you get a guided audio tour narrated by The Haunted City podcast crew. I rented the spirit chat box and participated in a Cryptod scavenger hunt. If you find all of them, you get a prize. There are plenty of artifacts to see; each is chronicled in the audio tour. Lastly, I entered the “Emeraldine Room.” I left a monetary tribute; as I was opening my phone, the spirit chat alerted “What are you doing?” There was a spirit box scanning in the room, and then I started to play Bobby Day’s song “Over and Over.” The spirit box chirped while the music played, “Bobby!!!”. Wow, what a cool experience. Check out the museum and subscribe to The Haunted City Podcast 👻

I had the absolute best time at the soft opening of the Savannah Paranormal Museum! If you're fascinated by the supernatural, the unexplained, and the downright eerie, this place is a must-visit!

Their collection is incredible—from haunted dolls and cursed objects gathered from around the world to historical artifacts tied to superstition and folklore, every item has a chilling story to tell. The attention to detail and the way each piece is displayed make the experience both spooky and educational.

One of the highlights for me was the Houdini exhibit—a tribute to the legendary escape artist and skeptic. Seeing pieces tied to his legacy of debunking fraudulent mediums while still being linked to the paranormal was fascinating!

And it only gets better! The museum has some amazing attractions coming soon, including a Cryptid Room (Bigfoot, Mothman, and beyond!), as well as a video "confessional" booth where visitors can document their own real-life paranormal encounters. I love that they’re making this a truly interactive and evolving experience.

Savannah has no shortage of haunted history, but this museum adds something truly special to the mix. Whether you're a skeptic, a believer, or just love a good ghost story, this place is well worth a visit. Can’t wait to come back when all the new exhibits...

The Savannah Paranormal Museum is a fantastic addition to Savannah's already intriguing landscape. Unlike some of the more theatrical ghost tours, this museum offers a fascinating and grounded look at paranormal phenomena through its collection of genuinely eerie artifacts. What struck me was the thoughtful curation of the exhibits. Each item comes with a story, prompting you to ponder the possibilities beyond our everyday understanding. It's less about jump scares and more about a captivating exploration of the unexplained. The owners and staff are clearly passionate about their subject, creating an engaging and welcoming atmosphere. They are happy to share insights and answer questions, adding another layer of depth to the experience. If you're looking for something beyond the typical historical tour in Savannah, I highly recommend a visit to the Savannah Paranormal Museum. It's a unique and thought-provoking experience that will leave you with a sense of wonder and maybe just a little bit of the heebie-jeebies (in a good way!). A must-see for anyone curious about the...
