I was visiting Savannah for the weekend and this landmark was on my list of buildings to visit. It's not open for public, it's just open for private and exclusive events. But you can just walk around the building to check it out. It's a registered national landmark. Built in 1919 by George Ferguson Armstrong and designed by world renown architect Henrik Wallin, the original mansion is the only Italian renaissance revival home in Savannah listed in the "A Field Guide to American Houses". It is now a residence to Richard C.Kessler, it was restored by him in 2019. The mansion from the outside looks absolutely stunning and has gorgeous architecture. It's across the famous Forsyth park. Highly recommend taking a stroll around this mansion when you are in Savannah.

Wow, just wow! This beautiful home was so nice to look at and imagine all it’s history. I loved the water fountain shaped like a pig, the manicured lawn and lovely Christmas decorations. It’s very well maintained and you just can’t help and think about might have happened there in the early days. Magical, would highly recommend.

Absolutely beautiful! The Armstrong Kessler Mansion deserves to be seen. Unfortunately, it's closed to the public and only open for private events. Make sure to take a drive or walk past this historic home in downtown Savannah. You can park in front and walk over to the Forsyth Fountain, which is only a few minutes away!

My 1st visit to Savannah. I plan my walking trip to the beautiful Forsyth Fountain. Either to or from the Cathedral of John The Baptist I turn and look upon the most beautiful structure. I studied art years ago and fell in love with the Italian Renaissance period. I couldn't look away from this awesome building. I then overheard a distant tour guide say it was a private residential home. I thought what a blessing to who ever you are. If a tour of the interior would be offered, it definitely be worth every penny to me. Mr. Kessler, thank you for...
