Folklorico — Local services in Savannah

My husband and I spotted this shop as we drove into town and marked it for a revisit. Little did we know at the time that the next day our rental scooters would need to be charged just as we visited the square across from Folklorico. The owners graciously let us charge the scooter batteries! Of course, we couldn't resist spending that time marveling at the cornucopia of wares from around the world. The store has an eclectic collection of unique items from all over the world. The African items woven from recycled telephone wire and the bamboo bowls from Vietnam were favorites of ours. I have been shopping here for over 5 years. I don't live in Savannah, Georgia but I always make it a point to stop and visit this funky little beautifully intentful shop anytime I visit. She carries a lot of handmade items from Mexico and other places in the Eastern part of the world. It is expensive but again it's handmade, artisan work and I could honestly spend hours walking around the store gazing at all...

I’ve been visiting this little shop for years whenever I pass through Savannah. Their inventory changes constantly, so don’t expect to see the same things. I still regret not buying earrings I saw in their shop years ago!!! What I love about the owners is that they tell you the full backstory about their artisan made products… I then love to repeat those details whenever I’m asked about them...
