CubeSmart Self Storage — Attraction in Schererville

I met Kelly and she was very friendly however I was sold a defective storage unit. I was told to purchase a lock either from the storage place or wherever I wanted to purchase. I elected to purchase a padlock at Walmart. When I returned to CubeSmart Self Storage, I struggled putting my lock on not realizing the latch was jammed. The next morning I arrived to store my items and couldn't get my brand new padlock off the unit. I called the front desk asking for help and a nice lady came out and her name was Flo. Flo and I attempted to get the padlock off but it was jammed because someone beat the latch with a hammer (photos attached). Flo said the only suggestion she had was to cut my lock off and I replied if she cut my new lock, she would have to replace it at no cost to me. We went back and forth for 45 minutes and I'm a really busy business woman and I should have only been at the unit for 5 minutes but it turned into a very long event. Flo decided to call her supervisor David and he took up another 20 minutes going back and forth with me and the simplest thing to do should have been to cut my lock and change my unit since it was detected and David tried to say it was my fault even though I literally had just moved in the night before and had not even used the unit at that point. I demanded a refund and told him to cancel my contract. David came to his senses and told Flo ro cut my lock and give me a new one (this is what he should have done in the beginning).

Initially I really liked this place but there's a few things about them that aren't too cool so they are fully enclosed storage area with a French around them and considering that they have that and and a gate with code access you would think they would be open 24 hours but they are not code access ends at 9:00 p.m. which makes it very inconvenient especially for people that work during the day and are only available at night if I were to change anything about that place that would definitely be the first thing anyone who rents and them should have 24-hour access but besides that they're pretty darn good place actually there's one more thing they say that they're not responsible for any of your items or nothing like that it's your soul responsibility but yet in their contract they have a beautiful little Clause where they're allowed to go and cut your lock off of your door if it's not locked properly if there's any little weird thing about it which they'll find some weird things so they can cut it off and then charge you for a new lock what's also at times renders you unable to access your locker I know it sounds I'm just placed too good but those are the two big flaws that they have other than that it's a pretty good...

When I first called looking for a storage unit, I spoke to someone that was very helpful. The gentleman made sure that there was something available for me he was very professional and took the initiative to contact this location. The woman at this location gave me a courtesy call to verify my reservation and to walk me through a few details she also helped prepare me and made some very useful suggestions which I took advantage of and it worked out very well.

When I arrived at the location the lady at the front desk was very helpful. I was greeted with a warm welcome and a wonderful smile. When talking to her I was very pleased with her customer service and her knowledge of the facility the appearance of facility was very Queen and I knew that this was the best place for me to be just by looking at it. The prices were very competitive and she made the transition very easy.

I would definitely refer anyone to utilize this facility from the excellent customer service the cleanliness of the facility, and the security of the individual units makes me very comfortable with storing any & everything at this facility. I was very amazed and I would not want to use any other...
