I've never left a bad review ever and all in all this gym isn't horrible but I feel it's machines are incredibly dishonest and didn't see any other reviews talking about it but I feel like people should know before joining. Not sure if it's a recent issue but none of the machines seemed weighted properly. A week ago at a different gym I could average about 70lb rep hip abductions and haven't worked out in a week but their machines said I could do 170 at the same rep amount and speed. I tried about three or four other machines and all had similar issues (leg curl especially was extremely lightweighted too). Im not a big guy, I cannot do 170lb reps that's over my bodyweight. It probably would take me like two weeks to max out the machine how it was today. I spoke to a staff member who was very polite but they said some gyms just "have different weights" and basically told me to adjust to it being lighter but like 40lb is 40lb you know??? 40lb isnt 140lb?? It just struck me as extremely odd and pretty obnoxious for a gym to be so blatantly incorrectly weighting things. Also a bit of a pet peeve that there seemed to be only one spray bottle every four machines. If you don't care about machines they still have free weights and cardio equipment but machines/weights are my reason for going to the gym. I would give 1 star if the staff were not extremely kind and the facility very clean. It all just really...
Read moreSpecific things I like about this location: The dumbbells are the thicker, straight handles with barbell-like knurling, not the thin curved handles that some gyms have that hurt your (or at least my) wrists. They installed a new turf area in the past year-ish that's great for stretching, doing plyometrics, lateral jumps, etc. There are a lot of weight plates so you aren't competing over them. There are a lot of bathrooms/showers (I think 4 or 5) so even during rush hour you don't have to wait to change into your gym clothes, shower, etc. Good leg machines. Super friendly staff and good staffed hours if you have issues. The location is awesome, right in Fremont.
Specific things that could be better (but still, definitely 5 stars): The heaviest kettle bells are not very heavy (maybe just 70 pounds or so), so you can't do heavy KB deadlifts if...
Read morerecently relocated to the Seattle area and proud to have this location as my new permanent location. although the gym is small in size, it’s mighty. there is a lot of high quality and updated equipment available and it’s not too overcrowded(my personal favorite aspect).
I recently found out about the ability to access another popular gym nearby at half the cost of my membership here. of course wanting to save money, I gave it a try (also primarily because the other gym has a sauna). the experience there was incompatible with my daily experience at this location. I still kept the other membership to use the sauna when needed but continue to use my this location for my primary workouts!
the price is more then local gyms but you get what you pay for. it all comes down to if you feel your health and wellness journey is worth the...
