I love the layout and the building. It is such a vibe! All of the merchandise is carefully curated with a passion for presentation and playfulness!
What really sets this store apart from any other is the following story that occurred there a couple of months ago. My son was making a transaction and he somehow misplaced his wallet at the store. We live several hours away. We called them panicking and left our info in the rare instance that maybe someone would find it and turn it in. The wallet contained my son's Washington I.D., school i.d., bank cards, cash app, various store gift cards from him recently graduating high school, and a large amount of hard earned cash from doing hair. He is a loctician.
The money was being saved to pay for his college education. We had both recently come to terms with the huge loss, until yesterday 9/18/224. My son was contacted by the store manager Kayla through his Insta page. Someone found his wallet and turned it in and ALL of the contents, including the cash was fully accounted for and intact!
Imagine the tears of joy that poured down our faces as we celebrated this victory and act of kindness together. Kayla shipped it to us today and we are beyond grateful! We have always been Goodwill shoppers, but this has given us a much renewed faith in humanity. The wallet arrived today 9/24/24.
Thank you for being good and honest people. Thank you for your kindness. Thank you for making the world a...
Read moreI decided to check this store out during my visit to Seattle to see what I could find. The staff was friendly and the items and store were clean and organized. It was nicely laid out and fun to browse, however many of the items were priced very high for what they were/condition. I saw many jeans that were well used at $13-15 that would have only been $5 tops at most other places. They have outdated appliances trying to be sold for 2/3s of their new in box price when they were far from that condition.
However, with some patience and a little effort looking around I did find a few nice items that were reasonably priced and I was happy to take home. The shoe section I was excited to find a pair of green Hunter Boots that looked to have been worn only once. They are usually $100-130 rain/barn boots but I got them for $15. I also found a cute pair of brown leather Ralph Lauren heels for $7 that also looked like they have never been worn. I found a skinny braided leather belt for $2 and a light denim dress that would be perfect for spring/summer that was only $5-6. Overall, I really liked the staff, layout, and items and I left with items I will use for reasonable prices.
I think the steep prices represented by reviewers comments are more of a blanket problem the Goodwill chain faces and not just an issue specifically this establishment. I would come again on another trip/ recommend to those who want a fun day browsing with...
Read moreThis is what I would call a medium size Goodwill. It does not get overwhelming, has most items you would want and not much clutter. It is without doubt one of the cleanest Goodwill stores. Everything is well organized. Even the electronics, sporting goods and toys are well organized. That is saying a lot for how hard that is. They have the best selection of DVD/VHS movies and various music formats I have seen. Lots of relevant recent releases. Hard to find rare items and not just unknown older trash. The furnature is always nice a d serviceable. They have outlets downstairs on the back wall to test electrical items. The only section that is lacking maybe blankets and sheets. The clothing and shoe selection is always decent. The collectable glass cabnits a brimming with rare, sometimes autographed, hard to find items. I found an autographed copy of a Dune novel for $5 worth $500 as well as a guitar for $75 autographed by Dave Grolh (they did not realize who this was) that I resold for $2,400. The staff are friendly and helpful. They have some cold drinks and snacks by the checkouts if you need. The front right side as you come in is the seasonal holiday items. Check it out and you will find...
