Thomas Street Market — Local services in Seattle

Great little locally owned market. Friendly staff. Convenient hours open early to late (-ish now b/c of Corona). Making your way through the maze-like store layout you'll find just about anything you would at the bigger markets—just don't expect a huge selection. Pricier compared to the chain stores but with the margins on grocery products these days that's understandable—especially for a place this size. You likely won't do your weeks worth of shopping here but it's great for picking up just about anything (standard) in a pinch. They also have a small deli up front with sandwiches made to order. Came in the other morning around 8 am and asked for a breakfast sandwich made with a sub roll. He replies "we don't do that." So a place that sells sandwiches refuses a simple request like this just makes no sense. So as I left (without a sandwich) I told the guy look you're not thinking correctly. Fast forward to just now and the evening guy says to me "you know you're not allowed in here right." Claims that I yelled at him. I didn't. I live block away. The staff are always so kind, so helpful, and always polite ( a rarity among Seattle businesses these days). I can't think of one time where I needed something and they didn't have it, which is pretty impressive considering it being a "quick mart".

They also have a sandwich bar. They serve Borehead I believe? I've never personally tried any of their sandwiches, but I see people ordering them all the time during the day so that's gotta...
