Revised: Third visit was sadly pretty disappointed. We were on time for our appointment (scheduled 30 mins after opening) but the shop was closed. We waited around for a few minutes and I called to leave a message. We opted to get breakfast instead, and on our way back to the car noticed they were open. I popped in and let them know our appointment was an hour prior but no one was there. They quickly apologized but either didn’t check their voicemails or didn’t bother calling me back? My husband’s pedicure was good, but mine was not. It was rushed and she attempted to just rip off my existing gel instead of filing top coat + soaking or using a drill bit. This caused my toenail to rip into my quick which made it impossible to have gel reapplied. It’s now jagged and will have to grow out before they can be redone. She also did not bother cleaning up the edges/underneath my toenails. Only positive is the price was very low (perhaps because of our issues, not sure). Hate to say it but this experience was bad enough that I won’t be back.
Initial Visit: The shop was staffed by two kind ladies whose time management I found to be fantastic (without compromising on quality). My gel pedicure was the most meticulous I’ve had done in well over a year, and the hot stones included with the basic pedicure was a lovely touch. They also removed hard gel from my hands, and though I was only charged $15 for this service they spent quite a bit of time making sure my natural nails looked nice. It was my first time visiting Greenwood Nail Spa, but it...
Read moreNew owner Nina and the lovely Le spoiled me like crazy. Nina has 17 years of experience and a great attitude. She says it's important to "have heart" and care about your customers. Her new hours are 10 to 8 pm, 10 to 6 on weekends. Come early during the week for real pampering. She gave me a neck and shoulder rub at my request, and told me about her "comfort oil" a formula originally created by a Buddhist monk. Hint: by appointment you can ask for a 15 minute neck and shoulder massage for only $15. Do that! My neck and shoulders felt better than they had in months!
Nina was interested in my nails, neck, shoulders and hands as I explained how the last salon was too rough. She immediately diagnosed my wierd curly big toenail and went after it, promising me that if I come in once a month, then over the winter when I no longer wore open toes she can fix it. I believe her, as she told me how she had done successfully in the past.
The remodel is still evolving, as she is looking for the right art, but the lights are nice, and the place is clean and airy.
Le did my feet and nails, not rushing through, and massaging my sore calves. She did a great job!
I was I HEAVEN with these two angels. Tip nicely,...
Read moreThe ladies were nice. I got a shellac mani pedi that cost be about $80 before tip. Both were done simultaneously and it was not a relaxing experience. The results were uneven, bumpy, they are part shiny and part matte, even had me stay longer for my toe nails to dry longer. I ended up spending an hour and a half before she said I could put my shoes on and it wasn't til I got home that I noticed my both mani and pedi were completely ruined. I had an appointment they made me extremely late to as well. It was too expensive and took too long. I don't know what to do about any of this because they do not give refunds. What was supposed to be a nice pampering afternoon turned out into a very frustrating and embarrassing evening and I don't have the time to get rid of it.
Update: It has been almost three weeks and my nails are brittle, thin and my cuticles are not growing back and it has been very painful dealing with the aftermath.
Good luck if you...
