Torn about this rating and deciding between 1 and 2 stars. They get 2 stars because I do not want to totally trash their business. Going to preface this with we let our server know we had food allergies before ordering and deciding to eat there and asked all the necessary questions. What kind of oil do you use and what dishes are garlic free. We were assured they use vegetable oil and not soybean oil. 3-4 bites into my dinner I start to feel the soybean oil and ask again. Someone came out to say sorry..oops..would you like something else. Yeah.....no....to late. I can say their bathroom was clean from the multiple times I was there. NOTE .....food allergies can kill and should be taken seriously!!! Vegan person with garlic allergy was able to order table side guacamole for 10.50 and enjoyed it after asking for more onions. 2 tablespoons of chopped onions cost $1.75. Seriously!! 1 1/2 avocados, 1/2 a lime, jalapeños and some salsa and an upchage for extra onions. Happy hour margarita were supposed to be $4.50 and it was billed at $10.50. Soft drinks are $3.50. Had to ask 3 times for Salsa.

My new favorite Mexican restaurant! As a local in the area, this was my first time visiting. I was not disappointed! They offer great service, awesome food, and a nice atmosphere! Our server, Caitlyn, did an outstanding job! She was very attentive and assuring that our expectations were fulfilled. The complimentary salsa was the best I had ever had! Additionally, we ordered the Cheese Dip, which was good, and the Guacamole Mexicano, which was absolutely AMAZING! By far the best guacamole I’ve ever had. It was so cool to watch them make it right at your table! Definitely order this when you visit! As I do at every Mexican restaurant, I ordered soft tacos with rice and beans, all of which was great! Others in my party ordered different dishes, such as Pollo Con Queso, which were each great as well! Overall, I highly recommend Tequila Spice if you are craving amazing, authentic Mexican food! I would give them 4 stars but when we went in they told us 45 minute wait. Took my number and told me to wait in the car and they would call me. It was after 7pm and there was empty tables so I was confused. Went to the car and noticed 5 people walking in and they didn't come out. I walked in and they were sitting down. There was just 2 of us. So I asked what was going on? How come we did get called before them and BTW I had only waited about 5 minutes so far. The guy said he was sorry and sat us down in one of the many empty booths. The girl that originally told me to wait in the car waited on us. I didn't say anything because I don't want them spitting in my food. We ordered tableside guacamole it was excellent! And our food took forever but when we got it it was excellent as well. So I'm on the fence I think I'll give them another try to see if it happens again....
