If you're a fan of bold flavors and halal options, Tribos Peri Peri is a spot worth exploring. I decided to order from here after hearing good things from friends, and my experience lived up to the hype! Here's what I tried:
Chicken & Rice Bowl (Spicy) This dish delivers a punch! For those who love heat, the spicy option is the way to go, but be warned – it's really spicy! The bowl comes with tender chicken, fluffy rice, and a fresh salad. While the chicken was flavorful, I found it slightly dry. However, the sauces make all the difference. Adding the sauce not only balances the flavors but enhances the overall taste. Make sure you don’t skip it!
Falafel Wrap (Medium) The falafel wrap was satisfying but could have been juicier. It was a bit dry, and I felt that adding more mayonnaise or sauce would have elevated it. That being said, the flavors were still there, and the wrap was tasty despite the slight dryness. It's a good option for those who want something on the lighter side but still full of flavor.
Menu Variety Tribos Peri Peri offers plenty of choices, and the menu looks really promising. There are various spice levels to choose from, so you can tailor the heat to your preference. The portions were generous – especially the chicken and rice bowl, which is perfect for one person, though it depends on your appetite.
Overall, my experience with Tribos Peri Peri was positive. The quality and quantity of the food were on point, and I’m already looking forward to trying more from their menu. For anyone who enjoys well-seasoned food with a spicy kick, I'd definitely recommend giving this...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Tribos Peri Peri, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was hit with the aromatic scent of spices and the vibrant energy of the bustling atmosphere. Our server, attentive and knowledgeable, guided us through the menu, which offered a wide range of mouth-watering options.
We started with the Chicken & Rice, which was cooked to perfection - tender, juicy, and flavorful. The portion was generous, and we devoured it in no time. Next up was the Whole Chicken, juicy chicken and a side of rice and salad. The chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender, and the flavors were simply divine.
The Wings Platter was another standout dish, with tender, juicy wings smothered in a lemon Herb & Mild sauces that had us coming back for more. For those who prefer a bit of gamey flavor, the Lamb Chops were a great option. Marinated to perfection.
But what truly stole the show were the desserts! The Crepes were a revelation - thin, delicate crepes filled with fresh fruit fillings. And the Waffle, oh the waffle! Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, it was served with fresh fruit, sprinkles, mini marshmallow and whipped cream that added just the right touch of sweetness.
Tribos Peri Peri is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for delicious, flavorful food and unforgettable desserts. Be sure to try the Chicken & Rice, Whole Chicken, Wings Platter, Lamb Chops, Chicken Pita, Crepes, and Waffles - you...
Read moreHaving heard of Peri anecdotally, and remembering that it just came to Assembly recently, I decided to head out on my day off for a pleasant lunch.
The ordering experience went well, and finding seating in the middle of the day was no problem. While the food did take a bit longer than expected, it was served to us hot and fresh, so no harm done.
A good deal of the tables and seats were not properly wiped down, you could visible see sauce marks and grains of rice scattered across the black chairs. While it didn’t entirely detract from the experience, it certainly put a damper on the expectations to be had.
We had ordered the chicken and rice bowls with a side of potato chips.
We were pleasantly surprised by the chips and how fresh & crispy they were. Well seasoned with an excellent “crunch” to them. You can definitely tell they are made in-house.
The chicken and rice bowls were deceptively healthy portions. The side salad was a great little touch, with light vinegary dressing and some peppery seasoning on top. It reminds me of the Portuguese-styled side salads I would eat growing up. The yellow rice was pleasantly aromatic and certainly not overpowering, allowing the juicy, tender chicken to shine.
I had ordered the “Hot” spice level, and believe me it was certainly that. Flavorful heat with a good kick. It paired excellently with the white garlic sauce to balance out some of the intensity of the spice.
We definitely will be...
