Brooks Brothers — Local services in Somerville

While in this store last week, my sister and I literally witnessed a man blatantly stuffing items into a giant suitcase. When he saw that I had noticed he started yelling "don't snitch, don't snitch, you better not snitch!" as well as some other things. Well at this point he's basically snitched on himself and now the one employee in the store is also obviously staring at him too. Though I think she already knew what he was doing even before I did but couldn't do anything about it. This man finishes up taking whatever he wants and leaves. At that point I'm over being harassed and leave the store too without buying the item my husband wanted. They really need to have a security guard at the door or give their employees the ability to take some kind of action when they observe blatant shoplifting like we did. I have been racially profiled in the past and this was not one of those instances where this man was being racially profiled. This was bold and blatant shoplifting and harassment. Hopefully Brooks Brothers reads their reviews and does something about protecting their employees and customers from...

Brooks Brothers changed ownership during Covid. The new owners have turned the store into lower quality clothes for more affordable prices. I bought three suits there recently for $300 each. They are decent quality but they don’t have a tailor in house to tailor the suit to your specific measurements. So you have to buy the suits and then take them and find a tailor to fit it for you which then adds about $100 for each suit. Anyone that knows anything about wearing decent suits is that the difference between an untailored and tailored suit is literally night and day. Now I have 3 decent suits that don’t really fit the way they should because I haven’t had the time to go to a tailor. It was nice when it was a one stop shop, buy the suit and have it tailored. Also, my old brooks brothers suits are 100% wool. They don’t have 100% wool suits anymore since changing ownership. They are mixed fabrics now, wool and polyester. Brooks Brothers has become a very mediocre place...

Fantastic store! This is one of my favorite places to shop; I have the entire sweater collection at this point! Wonderful selection, and I can always find what I’m looking for in my size! Recently, I scooped up some cashmere and wool, and the colors are extremely bright and vibrant! Great deals, and the store associates make the experience great! Jerry, Leigh, and Jeannie are knowledgeable, friendly, genuine and helpful! They recognize me when I visit, and I am greeted by name, which I really appreciate! I live close to Assembly, so this location is convenient! Highly recommend browsing the selection...
