I recently visited Tahoe Bear Tea House, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best bubble tea shops I’ve ever been to. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels warm, cozy, and inviting. The interior has a modern yet relaxing vibe, making it the perfect spot to hang out with friends, do some studying, or just enjoy a quiet break with a refreshing drink.
The drinks are absolutely amazing. I tried their classic milk tea with boba, and it was spot on—smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. The tapioca pearls were cooked just right: soft, chewy, and flavorful, which is something I always look for in a good boba shop. I also tried one of their specialty fruit teas, and it was so refreshing and full of natural flavor. What I love most is that you can really taste the quality of the ingredients; nothing feels artificial or overly sweet.
The menu has a great variety to choose from—whether you’re into traditional milk teas, fruity blends, or creative specialty drinks, there’s definitely something that will catch your attention. It’s clear that they put thought and care into crafting their drinks, and it shows in every sip.
Aside from the drinks, the customer service was outstanding. The staff were friendly, patient, and more than willing to help me pick something from the menu since it was my first time there. They took the time to explain the different options, and their recommendations were spot on. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers and want you to have the best experience possible.
Overall, Tahoe Bear Tea House is a gem. It’s not just a bubble tea shop—it’s a place where you can relax, enjoy high-quality drinks, and feel welcomed every time you visit. I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more of their drinks. If you’re in the area and craving boba, this is definitely the...
Read moreIf there was a rating lower than 1 star, this place deserves it. Absolute joke of a boba shop.
We walk in, see honeydew boba on the menu, see smoothies on the menu. Common sense says: “Hey, can you blend the honeydew with ice? Since you literally already make smoothies?” Apparently, that’s too much for this place.
We ask politely. The girl at the counter immediately hits us with a flat “no” like she’s allergic to customer service. We ask again, because hello, it’s literally pressing blend on a machine. She looks at her coworker, then walks away. Walks. Away. Like we don’t exist. Then the guy taking our order just parrots “no” over and over again without a shred of explanation. No effort, no reasoning, nothing. Just “no.” Three times before paying.
Finally, after waiting for the drinks, we ask a FOURTH time. Their grand excuse? “It’ll water down the flavor.” Oh, so NOW we get words? Cute. Newsflash: you already put ice in the drinks. You already serve smoothies. And what is a smoothie if not flavor + ice blended??? But no, according to them, blending magically ruins everything. Please.
You’re telling me you have a blender, you have the flavor, you make smoothies ALL DAY, but honeydew blended with ice is where you draw the line? Be serious. We literally went home, threw the drink in our blender, pressed a button, and BOOM ~ it was perfect. Better than what they handed us. So basically, this shop is just lazy, petty, and can’t be bothered.
This was the most pointless, frustrating boba run ever. Rude service, zero logic, and a complete unwillingness to do something simple. Don’t waste your time or money here unless you like being told “no” for no reason. We won’t be back. not that they care, since effort clearly isn’t their...
Read moreCame here to grab a couple of streamers and hot chocolates to warm up our 3 year old twins and the hubby. The staff were unable to make anything milk-based as they said the steamer was currently broken... No problem. Instead we ordered the kids non-caffinated strawberry&raspberry tea since the staff said it was sweet. The tea they gave us we had told them were for THREE YEAR OLDS was so hot that it burned MY mouth, and let me tell you I like my drinks H-O-T. So glad I had tried it first! Not only was it way too hot, it was not sweet whatsoever. Instead of asking them why they were so negligent, we just asked them if we could please get a second cup with some cold water to cool it off. We were told they could only give us sink water in the cups we already had. Seriously. I was getting visibly annoyed at this point, but I politely asked for some ice which they miraculously gave us in a second cup. The peach oolong tea they gave my hubby was also not sweet whatsoever despite them raving about it being the sweetest one on their menu... Not sure if the entire staff lost their ability to taste anything from COVID or their common sense that drinks explicitly stated were for 3 year olds should always be TEPID?! Disappointed with the maintenance issues and surprisingly pricing, definitely shocked by their negligence in almost scalding our kids and annoyed with their inaccurate recommendations. There was a unique Lego room for kids that the twins did enjoy and the place was clean and nicely decorated. Leaving here happy to patron Free Bird Chai just across the parking...
