Home Depot is becoming more and more disappointing to work with. I ordered items to be picked up. I received an email around 8pm saying the order was ready. I sent my contractor the next day to get the order. It wasn't ready. After waiting over 2+hrs they finally brought the items out on a forklift, dropped the pallet and didn't even help load the items. I called to complain to a manager because I was paying that contractor as he just sat there. The manager said that yes the wait time was a little excessive, but he didn't know what else to say. As a retail manager myself, I would have offered a discount, coupon for future use... something. What he told me was go to Lowes for the porch, roof and gutter materials we still need. The contractor had more customer service sense than your manager. He said that he ran over and grabbed lunch at the restaurant in Home D's parking lot, so he didn't charge me the full hourly price. The contractor said that was the 3rd issue in the last month with Home D, so he too is shopping elsewhere. One would think that in this enconomy retail would do more to maintain customers. Read moreI had purchased both a washer and dryer with installation. Upon arrival, the installers ruined my brand new homes walls on the way up to the wash room, where they were being installed. Upon installation, they noted that the dryer was “ missing a screw” causing it to not function, and took it back( while adding to damage to the stairwell wall damage).
When they finished the installation for the washer, they had turned it on ( with the deep rinse feature on!) to show that it was in fact working and left quickly because they “had other deliveries to get to”; however, they didn’t install the exit water drain hose. I was downstairs with my kids when we looked up and saw water leaking from the ceiling, light fixtures & light switches from my newly constructed home.
I understand being in a rush to finish jobs, but the matter of fact is that they rushed my install and didn’t do it correctly, causing my less than a month old, newly constructed home, severe water damage. I’m very concerned with electrical issues and the possibility of mold forming in my new home. I’d like someone to be sent out to assess the damages and then a prompt...

I recently had to pick up the pieces after my grandmother was a victim of the HOME DEPOT FAMILY EMERGENCY GIFT CARD SCAM and purchased ordered to purchase a gift card for $1000 at this store. I have since helped her make all the appropriate actions needed but we have found out each store is required to post a laminated paper at each checkout about gift card scams and this store did not have anything posted. Please don't let this happen to you. If you work at this store, please alert management to post something so people cant be alerted to it while in the moment before it's too late. If you are a scammer, beware, I will keep on our government until I feel something more is being done about this to prevent people like you from ruining other people's lives)
