I've been staying at this hotel room for almost a week now. Day 1. I was greated by a very nice woman she checked my stay in and I proceeded about my day. Day 2. I EXTENDED MY STAY- while also expressing my concerns of the pest problem I was having in my room again the very friendly woman gave me a option to either change my room or have maintenance come and spray the room and vacuum. I chose option #2, because I feared that if I chose another room it would be in worsening conditions than the one I was in. She reduced my price and I continued on with my day, maintenence did their job and everything was okay so I thought. Day 3. I decided to extend my stay but it was very early in the morning around 4:30/5am where I witnessed the female night concierge engaging in a very heated argument with the guest concerning yet another bug problem. Day 4. I went to extended my stay around the same time where I was then greated by the night male concierge. He asked about my stay, I then expressed the bug concern again he commented and said "I would never pay my money to stay at this place" but "Goodluck to you" he then asked if I wanted to change rooms. I asked if there was a guarantee I would be able to receive a room without a bug problem he said no, and then reduced the cost of my stay again. Day 5 I went to extended my stay around the same time where I was greeted by this same man this time I did decide to switch my room because the bug problem had gotten out of hand. I checked 3 rooms out and picked the best 1 out of the 3. Day 6 I go to extended my stay with this same man and he was COMPLETELY DISRESPECTFUL AS A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE YOU SHOULD NEVER TELL SOMEONE THAT THEY SHOULD FIND ELSEWHERE TO STAY BECAUSE THE CONDITIONS OF THE ROOMS HE IS RENTING OUT TO CUSTOMERS IN ARE TERRIBLE CONDITIONS!! I went to simply extended my stay yet once again but this time I disregarded the roach and bed bug problem!! I was expressing concerns about my shower not working properly, and to be told from this worker that "you just need to find somewhere else to stay because every room you go to has a problem" is distasteful and I refuse to allow that!! He then came up to my room asked to look at the shower, found out himself it did not work and then proceeds to ask would I like to be moved to another room after that commentary I will never stay at this hotel ever again!! Read moreI liked nothing about this hotel! First let me start of by saying. This hotel is real ghetto where young people hang in the hallways all night long. The stairwell was real nasty as well as the hallways and not to even mention my room. When me and my husband arrived they gave us a key to a very dirty room that had not been cleaned yet. Then we went back to the office and they gave us another room and when I opened the door to our so called new room. The room was already rented out to someone. Then we went back to the office to tell them, they were like that room is suppose to be vacant so they called security and security never came. They then placed us in another room and that room seemed to have beg bugs where we were itching all night long. When my husband went to lay down in the bed there was a vitamin water bottle cap under the sheets so clearly that room wasn't cleaned out properly. We will never ever stay in this hotel ever again. we wanted to get our miney back but we checked i ao late and they wwre not able to refund our money becausw we purchaaed the room thur priceline. This was a real bad experience for us. This is a young crowd hang out spot where they hand outside the doors late at night and the security is no help because he hangs out with the young crowd and doesn't even care or show up when he is paged over the walkie talkie. Read moreI'm not even sure how this hotel was rated 2.6 stars. My family and I stayed at this hotel this past weekend for our family reunion. We traveled from Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne, Texas, etc to Detroit and was welcomed to very rude staff at the front desk, particularly the front desk "manager" Jeremy. His demeanor and the way he spoke to my family was very nasty & unprofessional. We booked maybe about 15 rooms and almost every single one of us had an issue... no hot water, air conditioning not working, the hotel keys did not work, dirty tub/shower, no linen & towels. We were told we could wash the towels we were already given because they didn't have enough to give us and they also said this would cost us $1. We planned a pool party on Saturday for the children and right before it was supposed to begin, we were told that the pool closes every Saturday between 11am - 3pm for cleaning. Our party was supposed to be 11am - 4pm. This was a huge inconvenience for us and none of this information was told to us when these plans were made MONTHS ago when these rooms were blocked off for us. All in all, everything was horrible but I can say that the housekeeping staff were friendly and tried to accommodate us the best way they could with what they had. We made the best of our stay because we were all there for a good cause but I would NOT recommend this...
