ā€œThis is a gift to the childrenā€ it advises. The fountain was placed in the park around 2004, 30 years after being placed on the side bench for the Expo ā€™74 due to lack of funds. Great summertime favorite for kids of all ages to cool down on hot day. Its awesome that its totally free and open any day throughout the entire summer. Even a quick pass under the fountain you will feel totally cooled. Plus great location in river front park right next to carousel and old time favourite garbage...

As of October 2017 the rotary fountain is still under construction, but when it reopens it will be very beautiful. When it functions back in 2015/2016 it was a very popular fountain to sit by and have lunch...
