I was having problems with wireless connectivity on my iPhone. I had gone to Verizon several times to get it fixed, and they concluded it was a hardware problem, that I needed to go to Apple to get it replaced. Here was my saga at apple:
Day 1: Go to the store. I'm sorry, the next appointment is in 2 hours. Would you like to wait or make an appointment for another day? I made an appointment for another day.
Day 2: Get an email saying I need to back up my phone before my appointment. Doesn't work for various reasons, spent an hour on chat with Apple support to discover that it will not work.
Day 3: Get to the store 12 minutes after my appointment time due to traffic and parking. We automatically cancel appointments after 10 minutes if people aren't there. You can wait to see if we have an availability pop up. I finally get served. He tells me it is a software problem, changes a setting and sends me on my way. The next day the problem happens again.
Day 4: I try calling ahead to make an appointment. Wait time on hold was 30 minutes. I chose to drive in instead. 45 minute wait in store for a Genius to help me while I watch 4+ employees standing around chatting with each other. Finally get helped. They want to replace my phone. I tell them I couldn't back it up. They sell me more iCloud storage space and back up the phone. Then replace my phone. I am running late to another appointment by now (it has been 2 hours), so they send me to restore from the iCloud backup. I get home, this process doesn't work.
Day 5: One good thing I got out of the last appointment was that if you call their store, if you say "manager", the call will be put through to a real person. I was able to make an appointment this time. They have to reset something and restart the process of setting up the phone. This finally works.
Day 6: I realize my photos did not show up on my new phone, AND my original problem is still happening. I make an appointment, go in. The Genius bar people can't figure out what is wrong, so I sit there and call apple support on the phone. Come to find out, when THEY backed up my phone on iCloud, the pictures were not backed up. I lost them all. They think they have fixed the other issue, but time will tell. She tells me now it might be my wireless network and not my phone at all (which is frustrating, since my husband's phone works fine on the network).
So, to sum up: I spent 6 different days at the apple store or with apple support, lost all my pictures, and MIGHT have fixed my phone. I will not be going through Apple...

This store has unknowledgeable staff that were not on the same page and didn't have consistent information. Very rude and made me wait over a hour and late to work for them not to come up with a solution for my Macbook. I purchased this macbook in august of last year brand new and April of this year, my computer turned black and wouldn't come back on at all. Not even a year old. The quality of Apple products and staff have definitely went down since I worked for Apple in GA back in 2011(When Steve Jobs was alive). I took my CPU in for service and they told me they didn't know what was wrong with my computer and they would have to ship it to Chicago to another center to have them fix it and they were going to wipe my computer clean and its my responsibility to pay a third party company to recover my data somehow. WOW! How did you guys not know what the issue was with my computer? I called for a manager, and spoke to two different managers and they were both unknowledgeable and you can tell the one manager was pretty new to Apple and didn't know much. Emery and Nazar. Lucas was my initial genius that didn't know much and told me my info was going to be gone. I left that day and came back in the next day and had to explain and I told Emery how unprofessional it was to keep me waiting for a simple solution to come up with to make sure my computer was back to good health without losing my data. My appointment was at 12:35pm and I didn't leave the store until 2:20PM and had nothing resolved. He didn't care much. He told me to leave it with them to fix it. Two days later they call me and tell me, it was something wrong with the logic board. The battery or power switch on the logic board was functioning improperly so had to reset it and it finally came on. SO IT TOOK ME TO COME TO APPLE THREE TIMES FOR YOU TO FIGURE OUT THAT WAS THE ONLY ISSUE?!! RIDICULOUS! NEVER...
Read moreWhat a disgrace this store is. I came yesterday to schedule a appointment for today to fix my laptop, without a mask. ( I cannot wear one due to medical exemption.) the worker did not say anything and neither did the security. I was in there for about 5+ minutes & the worker simply scheduled my appointment and discussed with me about what I needed. Everything was fine and I felt relieved that I wasn’t frowned upon for not wearing one. Today, I come in for my appointment & a new worker greeted me today and I let him know I had a appointment. He handed me a mask and asked me to put it on. I didn’t & when he came back he let me know that I wouldn’t be able to be seen if I did not wear one. I informed him that I came yesterday without one and the worker did not mention this. Then he proceeded to get his “manager” and he said I could wait outside while they look at my laptop. I said that was fine, but then he changed his mind and said I could not. I don’t get why. It really made no sense. I told him I cannot wear one and why I am unable to and also what happened yesterday. He still said I cannot stay. I really don’t understand the reason. Did the manager have something against me ? I believe maybe it could’ve been because of my race (Asian) because why else would you treat me this way ? I don’t not care if any customers read this. This is simply for your team leaders to see. Are you guys okay with your “manager” trying to control me? It’s really upsetting to see such a great company hire such terrible workers. Workers that try and belittle customers who are just simple trying to fix their laptop? ( Mind you, I was already in the store for about 5 minutes at the point to leaving. They could’ve just taken the laptop already but they were to focused on making me cover my face) you see? They lost actual customer $ because they were to focused on other things. What a disappointment people have become.
