We went on a Friday night, it was our anniversary. We usually go to the one in the valley but this one looked nice. The food was delicious but the service was poor. We stood in front waiting to be seated as we watched servers walk right past us as well as standing around talking among each other. Nobody said anything to us so after a while we decided to just walk into the lounge and sit at the bar thinking maybe the restaurant was closed however I thought someone would have said that. The food came out quickly and we appreciated how they made sure no garlic was used due to an allergy. The original bar tender treated us well but everyone else ignored their customers. They were chatting with friends and playing on their phones. We asked for the check and waited for 20min before the original bar tender who had already finished his shift asked if we needed anything and told him we'd been waiting for the check. We could see our other bar tender who had been on the other side of the bar talking to friends. He motion that he'd forgotten about it. At the same time another couple walked in and sat down at which point he became irritated. There were hardly any customers in the bar and what were in there seemed to be employees and friends of the employees. I was a cocktail waitress for many years and I always had so many customers I would have to lift my arms with my trays full of drink up over the crowds of people to get to my tables, I'd take orders from those who were waiting at the end of the line to the bar just to help customers get what they needed so they could have a good time. I don't know what it is lately but customer service has taken a hard nose dive. Nobody cares about giving great...
Read moreTonight My boyfriend, his friend & I went to have dinner. Sat us immediately but then took 15 minutes to even greet us and give us waters. We were out celebrating My boyfriend’s friend birthday, he was the first to order drinks from the bar. He gave her his ID to which she stared at it for a good few minutes then said she will have to take it to the back, When I handed mine over she looked at it for 2 seconds before deciding she’s taking mine. When my Boyfriend gave his ID over, he was looking down at the menu to read off of and she bent down and got in his face to try and look at him then told us she needs to take all of our ID’s. She left for about 15 minutes with them. She looked at them with another woman then gave them to a man. Walked past us multiple times without even explaining what was going on. So when she finally came back she didn’t have our ID’s and gave an explanation of “There are some discrepancies on the ID’s we are looking at” then turned around Immediately to leave us. My ID is almost brand new and not damaged at all. So we stopped her and asked for our ID’s back to leave. When we were walking out the other women that was a part of this stared us down and it looked like she was smirking like she thought the situation was funny somehow. Mind you, we were all 3-7 years above 21 and our ID’s are definitely real. Safe to say I will NEVER be coming here again and I will let other know not too. Disappointing. Went across the street to Red Robin and got...
Read moreOn Friday, December 10, 2021, my wife and I went to the Twigs inside River Park Square for dinner with my brother and sister-in-law. These days it is frustrating that a lot of restaurants don’t let you make reservations so I appreciated it that Twigs did allow us to make a reservation….and that our table was actually ready for us when we arrived.
The setting at the downtown Twigs is awesome as it is on one of the upper floors of River Park Square and overlooks the main atrium of the building. During December it is even better as you get to admire the gigantic Christmas tree that ascends though the entire place.
The service was very slow tonight from our drinks to our appetizer to our food. However, the restaurant was packed so I understand that there will be delays. Makayla was our server and was very personable. She did a nice job and our order came out right. I got the Twigs signature burger that was pretty good and my wife ordered the truffle pasta that I felt was delicious. Lots of flavor! I think you pay a little more than the actual value of the food and the portions but the environment in which you enjoy your meal makes up for that. We would return to Twigs again, whether it be the downtown location or the other locations (some of the other restaurants look...
