My fiancĂ© and I have patronized this establishment many times for the past couple of years and have even recommended to friends. We love the ambiance and vibes and would come for date night from time to time. We even made the best out of the Valentineâs Day event, when there was no heat at all and they were warming the place up with space heaters (everyone was freezing), because the live music was on point and we enjoy the grown and sexy atmosphere that is difficult to find in STL. About a month ago, we stopped in for the first time in a while after going to dinner. We walked in around 8pm when thw live music had just started. There was no security at the door so we just went straight to the bar to order drinks. We immediately went to find seating and enjoy the show. After about 15 minutes, the owner came to our table to tell us that white T-shirts are not allowed. My fiancĂ© was wearing a suede ivory shirt with jeans and casual shoes. We were trying to explain to her that his shirt was not of t shirt material and was also not white. The lights were dim so we understood that it was probably difficult to tell, but at the same time she refused to listen. She went on to tell us that security may be coming soon and will probably escort us out. We waited a couple minutes then see what would happen, and then took it upon ourselves to leave. We came to this decision because of the lack of professionalism that we experienced. If there had been security at the door, this issue could have been resolved either way before entering the building that night. Furthermore we would not have wasted our time or money if security had been there to begin with. We also noticed that there were other men there with colored t shirts with teddy bears on them and wearing sneakers. It just didnât make any sense to at all. In conclusion, we will not be supporting this business again.

Read moreWanted to support what I thought to be a black owned business but no business or atmosphere will get A DIME out of me or my family that even attempts to make me feel inferior, criminalize me subtly, or make me feel like a danger to society simply because of my sex a or race (which Iâm sure played a major part). This security that made sure to pat me down is the same security Iâve seen and heard allowed many of women and straight men to pass through without patting down. I have on tight shorts and a t shirt, thereâs not much I can hide within my clothing (and that was evident as he didnât even pull anything from me that he felt so I can tell he just did it to be ignorant.) Security allowed my sisters (who actually had the weapon btw lol đ) to pass through with no issues and without checking. He says it was âbecause they were femalesâ which I can appreciate as a brother but it was the tone in which he said it. I asked âwhy arenât you checking them?â He says â IM CHECKING YOU THOUGH!â I can tell there was no real substance to the logic as he patted my crotch and any other place he deemed okay to touch as we all stood there embarrassed⊠I was in my head trying to calm myself down which is the only thing in me that allowed him to actually touch me without backlash. But good luck to this business Iâm sure one little person wonât hurt there establishment but they wonât receive any more business from me and better hope I donât decide to SUE as I have proof of how many people this discriminatory security guard allowed to pass through without...
Read moreI booked a booth the day before my birthday which was a Friday night. Doors open up at 7 but no one was there at 7 but the bouncer. The bartenders arrived close to 8. I get there after 8, no one knows what booth I reserved and no sign of the hostess or owner. The DJ did not arrive until 9:30, so there was no music inside. There was a food truck outside playing music by the patio. The only plus. Then my booth ended up being a table pushed up against the wall with chairs. For the price I paid, they could've at least sectioned it off! That was not a booth! They could've just told me there were no available booths. DO NOT BOOK A BOOTH UNLESS U CAN VERIFY ITS AN ACTUAL BOOTH. The place was unorganized, and the owner was rude & dismissive. How do you run a business like this? Everything was done via text, which is also unprofessional & impersonal. Its better to just walk in before 9 & save some seats. DO NOT BOOK A BOOTH, or you will get a table close to everyone else, bumping into you & all in your space. The 2 stars are for the bartenders & the DJ. The music was a good mix of old school & it did get packed...
