I have been going to this bar since 2006 when they had a snake in the tank by the front door. I hadn't been out in more than a month, so needless to say I was pretty drunk when I walked in. I had been drinking at hotshots which is a smoking bar, so I lit up in there out of habit. They have a bar tinder in there named Mike, who may or may not have been cool in a prior life. He made fun and belittled me because I lit up. I walked outside to finish my smoke, conveniently Mike was having a cigarette too, so I was apologetic once more. He had the charisma of a freshman quarterback that just made varsity. After I insulted him back, he through me out of the bar and I was unable to gather my things. My friend went back into the bar, because I live close to an hour away, in an effort to retrieve my phone. He was unsure if they would give him my phone back, considering it was not his property, so he acted like this phone belonged to him. He was approached by a sex deprived hispanic man name Mike. Mike continued to tell him that he was lying, and that some *hole left his phone in there and that he through it in the trash can. Correct me if I am wrong, but this man made a decision to work in an industry surrounded by drunks. When individuals consume too much alcohol, they don't make logical decisions. So two things could have happened : Mike was under the influence when he threw my $600 samsung in the trash can, or Mike struggles with the ability to make logical decisions when...
Read moreMy friends and I visited this location because I wanted to go somewhere I’d never been before. As a member of this community I didn’t think my skin color had to change in order to receive proper service. The bar tender was very rude and so was the owner. Now, I’m usually the person that can go anywhere and adapt to the environment and really enjoy myself so I thought nothing would be different. For a while the vibe was okay until I heard an urban song come on. My friends and I begin to sing a little bit of the song and that’s when I notice the gentleman looking at us. He begins to “shhhh” us and proceeds to change the song. Although I knew my time at this HORRIBLE establishment was coming to an end I wanted to at least finish my drink. As I did so, we noticed another urban song came on and was changed once again. At that point is when my friends and I decided to leave. As a daughter of a Very profound man in this city I never use my power nor do I seek revenge on those that act as if they have no home training. But, I will however speak up when I feel that race and racial profiling comes into play. We’re already a divided nation let’s not continue this in our...
Read moreworst bar in stl hands down!!! management will do whatever they want and if you try and say anything they'll just end up defending each other.
i went there last night and a (~50yr old) man was recording my friends and I….when we asked the bouncer to ask him to stop, we were told to take out concerns to the bartender, Mark. I do not understand the point of a bouncer if they are just going to tell you to talk to the bartender, who was also busy with his job???
we didn't even get to speak to Mark and when we told the bouncer that it is very weird and that he still hadn't stopped recording us, we are not a side show??? these are 22yr old women- what???
rather than say anything, they just told us that they knew we would be trouble (racially motivated i'm sure) and proceeded to kick us out! save yourself the stress, the employees here will disrespect and borderline assault you. if there was negative stars I...
