Stillwater Public Library — Attraction in Stillwater

Fantastic library! The building itself is gorgeous. There's a great kids area and story time room. The rooftop patio area offers stunning views of the river and downtown area. You feel like you're somewhere in Germany overlooking the Rhine.

As for programming, the library offers a rich assortment of events and groups, from book clubs to writing workshops to speakers on wide-ranging topics. As for story time, it doesn't get much better than this. We've been to a lot of library story times all across the cities, and Ms Kim is hands-down the best storyteller we've ever seen! She takes a genuine interest in the kids and (amazingly!) keeps them attentive and engaged the entire time. A wonderful library and community...

Stunning view. NOT your usual library. This is a renovated Carnegie building with historic character as well as a view of the St. Croix River that is so stunning, people use it as a wedding venue. In mild weather, you can bring covered drinks to enjoy out on the rooftop patio. Library offers interesting events involving art, speakers, children reading to therapy dogs, fireworks under the stars, etc. Free wi fi. Creaky floors. Teen library area. What a beautiful library!!! I stopped here to get some work done as I had a break in my day. WOW! I can't believe I've never stopped in here. Such a nice setup, situated over 2 floors. But what really got me was the HUGE. And I mean GIGANTIC terrace on the roof(?), that overlooks the beautiful St. Croix River. I could've sat there all day just soaking in all the sites and sounds. I'm sad that fall is right around the corner, but I'm already looking forward to spending some beautiful summer days on that terrace...
