I am celiac and this places is supposed to be filled with safe options. I had a Horrible experience. I saw so many good reviews of this places safety. We went in I was very excited the server (who was amazing) assured us they assembled the food separately and wore gloves to stop cross contamination.... She also made sure to state on the ticket Allergy! ... BUT thank god we were sitting where we could see the kitchen. Not only did I watch the cooks grabbing both gluten filled and gluten free buns at the same time.. but he put them ALL on the same cutting board to assemble them before our food came out to us. I watched the whole process mortified. Talk about ruining the trust with someone who is a celiac. I told them I refused to eat it because I didn't want to get sick. They sent it back and the cook promised to make a new one. But at this point my trust was broken, I don't know if he used gloves, but he did place it on a separate plate and assemble it separate. On top of it the food wasn't anything special, by burger was charred/burnt and everything was way over salted. Our server was amazing and super knowledgeable about allergens and what the processes should be. You could tell she was mortified that it had happened. The kitchen staff needs to get some training if the company wants to say they have gluten free precautions... Because they don't, I watched it with my own eyes. Edit: after a day later I talked via FB messenger to the owner, because of her very professional reply here. She was much more cordial in that personal response than she was in her reply here on google. I basically reiterated everything I said here. Also, I'd like to point out I am a level 7 google guide who specializes in GF eating, with no reason to just randomly pick a place to trash talk as the owner stated in her Google reply. The point of reviews is to help people be aware and make decisions for themselves. ESPECIALLY when it comes to food allergens. If it happened to me it likely has happened to others. To throw my experience away and say I am "just someone making up lies" tells me more about the character of the owner, than someone who actually cares to try to find and make a solution for future customers. This is why we make reviews. That's the point. Do better and you improve. Think and act like you are the best and you never improve.

We went here last evening for a Friday night dinner. We were sat down at a booth and looked up because we had things coming in our water and there was a vent that had Dust and Grime on it that's probably been there a couple months. We asked to be moved to a different spot which we were immediately. Within proceeded to order and I let the waiter know of all my food allergies right away. Appetizers came and they were great. My entree came and I started eating it not thinking anything and my boyfriend told me stop I don't think your bun is gluten free. So we asked a waitress walking by if it was and she said she didn't know she would go with Check, came back to the table and nope it wasn't. Explained that I TOLD our waiter ALL my allergies and now it's a matter of time before I am miserable and sick and not just for a short time. She didn't seem to care and walked away to get me a new sandwich on a gluten free bun. Different waitress brought out my sandwich on a gluten free bun and apologized up and down about the horrible mistake, she was kind. Never got my french fries back ever even after asking as they also had to be re-made. Our original waiter NEVER came back to our table to check on us, fill our waiter or anything. My boyfriend had to go ask for the bill and then proceeded to attempt at asking about the bill as it was wrong. ONLY person who finally helped us was the nice waitress who came walking past who brought my correct sandwich and she adjusted it and apologized again for our horrible service and experience. This place prides itself on gluten free food yet the servers except 1 who wasn't ours didn't even care. Manager didn't even acknowledge the serious issue, our waiter didn't apologize or even help us after the serious mistake. So extremely dissatisfied with this place. Upon chatting with people on the gluten free MN page, a handful of people have unfortunately been glutened there also. All servers and kitchen should be highly trained to listen and take people's allergies very seriously. The cheese curds were incredibly good and gluten free!!!!!!

A cute little place in Stillwater. We went with 3 little kids and everyone really enjoyed their food. The place doesn't seat many people inside, maybe 30ish not including sitting at the bar. The atmosphere is fun with lots of music & movie posters. The 90's kid will really enjoy it. There were 2 waitresses and they were running and overwhelmed! We asked for water and didn't get any until after we had eaten almost all of our appetizer. We ordered wings with ranch and didn't get any ranch. We ended up having to ask for it after our wings were cold because we couldn't get the servers attention. The ranch (& ketchup) were homemade, which some of the kids loved while others thought it was spicy (it did taste kind of "hoppy"). We follow a low carb lifestyle and came here because their Google Maps menu pictures show keto buns as an option. They no longer have them, they got rid of them spring 2024 😢 We had lettuce wraps and made a huge mess because the lettuce wasn't very big so all the toppings fell out. We ordered the crudites appetizer as it said it came with hummus & a pesto aoli. Ours came with no hummus. We were going to ask why we didn't get hummus, but the pesto aoli was SO good we preferred that! Overall I'd suggest going to the food & the atmosphere! Just be prepared to wait on drinks & dips!

Share the details of my own experience. Just the facts. I've never been here on a Monday night. My two previous visits were great, for food. Service was an absolute treasure, the first time. On the second, it was a pinch chaotic with the server pointing out that we needed to sit at the bar, or a high top, for the CHANCE a four top might come in. Mmmmmm...it was maybe 1:30 pm, so we politely indicated our preference to sit at one of the lower tables closer to the door. Service was still alright after that. Nothing over the top. Third trip in, last Monday night, seemed the busiest I've ever seen them. Understandably we waited anywhere from 15-20 minutes to be greeted by the server. Not a problem, we could see she was busy. Order taken, drinks delivered, we wait for food. The wait, honestly, didn't seem that long. Cheese curds delivered tasted great. The second appetizer showed up with the entree. Curious. Upon eating half of one lettuce wrap, it was cold. And tasted as if it had been cooked an hour before we walked thru the door. Not good. So, I pushed it off to the side of the table, between the place settings. The waitress showed up, after dinner, to take the plates away. I explained to her that the appetizer had been served cold and tasted as if it was old. And, that I'd like to return it to the kitchen. She thanked me for the input and then, somewhat quietly enough that I didn't know what was going on, explained to my partner that she was only discounting off a portion of the appetizer.🤔 I ate 1/6 of it, to discover that it was, that night anyways, tasting awful. And they refused to remove it off the tab? Is this a new phenomenon in the restaurant industry? I'm currently a server and have been in this industry for 27 years. I'm, honestly, kinda perplexed by this. This experience sent us to rummage around, on the street, to discover many more restaurants that Stillwater has to offer. I wish the Lowell Inn...
