Candyland — Local services in Stillwater

After reading the response of the owner, I feel I judged Candyland way too harshly on this day. It is easy to forget that we are in a pandemic because this seems to be the new normal. Never would I think shortages pertain to candy.... I am very sorry for my harsh judgment of your store. All I was thinking about was the exceptional service we receive in St. Paul and that doesn't help your Stillwater store by any means. You are a welcomed addition to Stillwater and please forgive me for my harsh judgements. I am glad that you said something because I never would have given this another thought. I have learned a valuable lesson with this post, thank you and I wish you continued success like you have enjoyed at your St. Paul store. We truly wouldn't go anywhere else......

They were "out" of three items we asked for and there was something off with the Chicago Mix (still edible!). The server could not listen to direction and had no knowledge of candy! Definitely NOT like the St. Paul store. I never need to go back to...

UPDATE: Today, August 31st 2025, the gentleman that was working made me a very very happy customer by finding a hard candy i was asking about, apparently Candyland will no longer be carrying it, he had one bag, I was able to buy the whole bag. Plus absolutely delicious FRESH popcorn one with extra extra butter. So friendly, polite. The young lady working also made sure to get my discount card applied. She was so pleasant and seems so genuinely happy to be there. Never a disappointment...

Can not get fresher more flavorful popcorn anywhere. Candy is the best. Absolutely love the chocolate dipped potato chips. No matter how busy it is it's always a pleasure to shop at Stillwater Candyland. Customers are always friendly, had some good conversation with fellow shoppers. Staff always seems to enjoy their job and the customers.

Make sure to try a couple popcorn flavors, you won't be disappointed.

I know people be raving about the Chicago mix here, and yeah it’s pretty good. But within my first couple bites, I encountered multiple burnt popcorn kernels covered in caramel. And a large chunk of the caramel corn in my bag was stuck together in a clump. So I wasn’t too impressed with that.🍿 ヽ(。_°)ノ

We got an assortment of random chocolates that were all pretty meh. There was a marshmallow one that we thought had a cherry on top, but it turned out to be a weird red candy. We even said “that one with the cherry”, and the employee didn’t tell us it wasn’t. 🍒 눈_눈

And what’s with prompting me to tip on top of already pricey chocolates? 🤨

The Chippo’s (chocolate-covered potato chips) were pretty decent, but not quite as good as Widman’s “Chippers”. 🥈

The highlight for us was definitely the truffles. They’re hidden in the back right corner of the counter, but you don’t wanna miss those. Rich chocolate exterior with super creamy interior. Solid mix of flavors available...
