Holistic in Mystic LLC — Attraction in Stonington

To review a place of business is a straightforward matter, but to properly comment on the heart of a business which reflects the devotion of the proprietor is a more care-filled, tender exercise in conveying observation and experience. I discovered Holistic in Mystic in ‘23 and was thrilled to see a natural, spiritual shop back in the Village. There is an extensive selection of quality crystals charged with Reiki, candles, books, soaps, clothing and more. Yvonne welcomes each guest in her shop, greeting them and showing interest in them. She is there to guide, but what I’ve seen and experienced is that she has a refreshing way of not pressuring purchase, simply offering help if needed. She has an intensity with passion for her work and runs her shop with precision, but I didn’t get to know her better until attending one of her events in ‘24. This was where both shop and proprietor shone most brightly. It was a painting class with meditation and it was meant to focus on a specific chakra and fuel confidence. I found out about it because I actually ran into the proprietor at a cultural event and later followed up by phone. It was pure serendipity that the encounter led to finding out about the class which was so right for me at that time.

Once there, with a great group of others, I saw the care with which the proprietor ran the event, speaking to each individual about their needs, their lives, caring and listening, sharing with courageous openness herself. Having a loved one going through cancer, I was heard with immense compassion and generosity of spirit. It was an embracing experience for each of us and returning for an event this winter, I saw that same uplifting environment of the shop and the caring, giving, nurturing intent of the proprietor with an experience so positive, it also changed my perception of Reiki (whereas I felt it didn’t quite affect me in the past). This place is now very meaningful to me and I’ve met other wonderful people who share that opinion. Any person or place trying to bring light into the world, exhibit kindness, is doing needed work. A Truly Special and Spiritual Gem in Mystic!

Holistic in Mystic is one of my absolute favorite places to visit whenever I’m in Mystic, Connecticut. Living in southern Maine, I don’t get there often — maybe twice a year — but every single time, it’s a must-stop. And honestly, once is never enough! I was just there this past weekend and went in twice because I couldn’t stay away.

Yvonne, the owner, is such a warm, heartfelt, and genuine person. From the moment you walk in, she makes you feel at home. She’s kind, funny, welcoming, and always takes time to answer questions and share her knowledge. She has this wonderful way of connecting with people — she makes you laugh, makes you think, and makes you feel seen.

The shop itself is full of magic. It has this beautiful, spiritual energy — calm, clean, comforting, and never judgmental. It’s the kind of place where you can just breathe and feel good. I’m slightly obsessed with her orgonites (I have a few, including a teeny-tiny one!) and I’ve collected bracelets and other beautiful, meaningful treasures over the years.

My boyfriend and I were on our way to breakfast around the corner when we passed by Holistic in Mystic. Something absolutely drew me to it! As soon as we went in we were greeted by miss zo. Yvonne came right over to us and introduced herself, both my boyfriend and I were immediately calmed just by walking in the door. I absolutely love the vibe of this place and I’m honestly so sad I don’t live in Connecticut, I would be there all the time! At one point I felt like my aunt, who passed 6 years ago was trying to speak to me, so I had a reading and was able to hear some angel messages from her! Miss Zo jumped right up on my lap and took a little nap! After, I asked my aunt to send me a sign to validate that I was in fact talking to her, I felt drawn one of jewelry sections at the front of the store and I looked and saw this beautiful blue handmade bracelet (which was my aunts favorite color, I have two butterflies on my wrist of the same color) and on the bracelet had an angel wing on it, now there was only ONE bracelet with that color and no others with an angel wing on it.
