I have been a loyal Costco executive member for many years and have always enjoyed my shopping experiences until today. Every time I’ve visited, I’ve brought my 7-pound dog with me in a bag. She doesn’t make a sound, and employees have consistently been kind, even complimenting her and offering treats and petting her. I’ve never once had an issue—until today. I visited the Strongsville, Ohio, Costco after one of the worst snowstorms we’ve had in 5-6 years and freshly fallen snow with icy roads today. After a dangerous 30-minute drive in icy conditions, I was told for the first time that I couldn’t bring my dog inside due to company policy. While I understand policies exist, now, I was shocked that this was the moment they decided to enforce it, given that I’ve never been informed of this before. Leaving my dog in the car was not an option in 16° weather with windchill, and driving all the way back home and returning would mean two hours total on treacherous roads for this shopping experience. Statistically you’re much more likely to die in a car accident than even surgery. I would have understood being informed about this policy and asked not to bring my dog in the future, but the lack of compassion shown by refusing me entry under such extreme circumstances is unacceptable. A little understanding and flexibility in situations like these could go a long way. I will not be returning to this Costco or any Costco in the future. I gave them my membership card. There are kinder and safer ways to enforce policies without putting customers and their loved ones in danger. Luckily, there are other stores like GFS and Giant Eagle whom enjoyed my business without issue with either of us on the way home today.

I'm not typically the person to leave a review but wanted to in this case. Months ago I needed tires and my buddy told me to go to this Costco because he loved it here. So I went and saved a ton of money on the tires I wanted. Got the tires and they did a great job. No issues. Yesterday my tire got a nail in it and my tire went flat. Long story short (not short) I went in after I put my spare on just to see if they could fix it or get me a new tire. These days I figured it would be like most places and would be a long expensive process. I pulled up to the garage bay pretty late and without question a Dominick came out and helped me. Super friendly. He immediately grabbed my flat tire and brought it into the bay. Told me to meet him inside and he would help me out. I walked in and he pulled me right to the computer and already had my account up and ordered the new tire. I was in shock lol Since my tire was under warranty I Just paid a small fee. Dominick then said before I leave to bring my car back to the bay so he can check the spare tire and make sure the tire was on tight enough. Again I was shocked. Told me when the tire will be there and will call me. Not kidding while I'm writing this review which is the very next day, I get a call from Costco saying my tire is already in and they can put it on today. Like what? Sorry for the long review but this was an amazing experience to the point where I took a picture of his name badge. I am now a forever fan of this costco and Dominick I thank you. I will be sending everyone I know to this location because of that interaction. Costco give this guy a raise! People like that do not come around often.

CONSUMERS BEWARE! I usually love Costco and have never had any major issues, but my experience at the Strongsville, OH location was beyond disappointing. I don’t even live nearby (I’m an hour away), but since I happened to be on that side of town, I decided to do my shopping there for a family get-together the following day. I purchased all the food I needed to feed the family (over $300). To my shock, the very next morning—less than 24 hours after purchase—when I began prepping, I discovered MOLD on my strawberries, mold on my lemons, and mold covering multiple buns in the sealed pack of hoagie rolls. The rolls were the only reason I bought the brats, so that purchase went to waste as well. I called the store to voice my complaint and spoke with Jax, the food manager. She was not apologetic and treated the situation as if it were no big deal which is very concerning to me as a Costco member. She told me the only way to get a refund was to come into the store—which is a major inconvenience. I’d be spending more in gas than the refund is worth, but that’s not the point of course. She also stated she would not refund me for the brats that went to waste because of the moldy buns. Not only is it unacceptable for food to be sold in this condition, but the dismissive and unhelpful response from management made the experience even worse. When customers spend their hard-earned money, especially at a store known for quality, they deserve fresh products and a respectful, solution-oriented response when issues arise.

I understand that people have rough days, especially during the Holidays. Cashiers, Please don't take your frustrations out on customers! I was looking forward to shopping at Costco, Strongsville all day yesterday. That was December 2, 2022. It was a great shopping experience until the check out time. I went there with my friend and used their card. The cashier, after checking out my friend, was told I was using their card. (And they had to renew their membership, which cost $60.00.) And that was never a problem before. She said the rules changed and you have to be put on the card. So, she got the manager. The manager said it was fine and to check my order out. Because I told the cashier to just cancel my order. I was ready to leave. The cashier commented that it was ok during the pandemic, to use another's card. Now the rules have changed. Then she proceeded to ring out my items, throwing them in the cart! My friend also noticed that. She was actually throwing the items in the cart. She had a horrible attitude towards me. And she caused me to get an attitude. I wanted to give her a piece of my mind. I spend a lot there. I go there every week. My friend just wanted to get out of there. That's the appreciation I get. A nasty attitude from a nasty cashier. So, I have decided to stop going to Costco, Strongsville for a while. Maybe for good. I have worked Customer Service in the past and I have never taken my issues out on a customer. That's the worst thing to do. I appreciated my customers and always treated them with the utmost respect. I have Sam's Club and BJ's where I will patronize. I always get great service at Sam's Club and BJ's. Why should I fight the traffic at the Strongsville Costco, just to be treated terribly? I'd post the cashier's name, but out of privacy, I won't. I'm very upset about the way I was treated at Costco, Strongsville. I also find better prices at Walmart on...
