My family made reservations for our 2 year old to see Santa. Our appointment was 10:15. Some people had appointments for earlier. It is currently past 10:30 and Santa has not shown up yet. We are being given no information. There is currently about a 30 yard line of children wondering about Santa. I know this is not primarily what this business does, but I feel like this was a pretty lousy way to treat everyone l, especially the kids. *EDIT* I was contacted by Bass Pro Shop after my review and was given an apology and a $10 promo code for my next order. Great! I wasn't expecting it, and it was very nice of them. I decided to buy my child (the one that was seeing Santa) a sleeping bag for Christmas. I choose to order it online and pick it up in the store because the internet says it is in stock and orders placed before 4 PM will be ready same day. My order confirmation came through at 10:15 AM. At around 6 o'clock I hadn't heard anything so I dropped in and they told me, "It isn't ready yet, we don't have boots on the ground yet." I wasn't sure what that meant, so I politely asked if I could just go grab the sleeping bag off the shelf and have them scan it and I'll be on my way. I was told no. I went back the next day and was told "they decided to ship it, its not here yet." I explained there were several (at least 10) on the shelf and once again asked if I could go get it. I was told the solution would be to purchase a sleeping bag off the shelf and cancel the other when it comes in. It has been 3 days now and counting, 2 trips to the store, and I've paid twice so far for the sleeping bag that I received.

Even before stepping into the store, you are faced with a grand front, decorated with impressive metal worked lanterns. The intricacy continues throughout every bit of the complex. We walked in, and one of the nicest greeters I've ever experienced welcomed us into the store. From there the panorama is honestly mind blowing. The decorations in the store are essentially wildlife tableus that depict all sorts of biomes and settings. It's so widespread through the store that it took us more than 20 mins before we started looking at the goods. Even if you have no reason to shop at a Bass Pro, don't miss out on this free attraction. This is my new home store.

Solid Bass Pro Shop. Obviously more convenient for SoCo folks. Bigger than I expected. The fish tank isn't great but entertained a 3.5 year old for 5+ minutes. They do have a cool wildlife panorama in the hunting area. Also learned that kids love getting on the boats... Mine spent 30+ minutes exploring them and there were two or three other parents with kids doing the same. Went looking for live bait specifically. They do have red worms and nightcrawlers, but I wanted wax worms, which they did not have. Lure selection is what you would expect. I was trying to find a medium action rod and for the life of me, of the 100+ rods, I couldn't find any.

Go for the fish tank, the view, and go to find what you want. Then go buy it somewhere else. I purchased an item online for curbside pickup. A few days later I went to pick it up about 30 min after they opened. I called the number on the spot, only to be placed in an endless loop of no answer and then transferred back to the original person. Finally someone answered and said, "Bass Pro, hold" and off I went to hold land. I'm thinking their busy (kind of rude) but no worries, I had time to wait. Mind you I was the only one in curbside but again whatever. Well after being on hold for 5 min, I decided to hang up and leave. I came back 3 hours later (important note again the only person in curbside) and dialed the number. A guy answered and I was transferred, this time I received a weird message like "the number you have dialed, does not have a mail box..." not exactly that but in that neighborhood. I thought I may have hit something wrong so, I did call back only to be met with, "I don't know why you keep calling", "clearly no one is going to help you", "you will need to come in and pick up your item", "there is someone ahead of you already", (again on one else there, i wonderd if it was me still on hold from the morning), again "why do you keep calling", and "your going to need to park and come in". I probably would have done so if I was greeted with, "I'm sorry, we are short today, I'm really busy if you want to hang out I'll see if it's possible". However the level of disrespect shown had me cancel the order and buy it from Amazon (cheaper by the way). Clearly Bass Pro does not care about customer service at this location. Read through the other comments, you will see a common theme. Poor customer service and since it is still running rapid, one would have to assume it's at the top level of the store or the franchise. Again, go look around and enjoy the scenery but avoid contact with employees at all cost. Then save some money and buy your...

2 strikes against Bass pro.. don't wast your time or money. the service is absolutely horrible.. Most likely the person helping you was actually working in the lawn and garden section at Walmart last week...I recently purchased a new crossbow from the sunset hills location and the guys in the bow department didn't have any answers for any of my questions about the crossbow...after getting home, ( a 1 1/2 hr drive) I had an immediate concern about the bow. called a professional bow shop and texted them pictures of my concern.. was told DO Not SHOOT that crossbow.. IT WAS PUT TOGETHER WRONG... I told him I bought it from bass pro...his response was that bass pro shops should not be putting crossbows together....I'm very lucky that I seen the issue with the crossbow and didn't shoot it because it could have blown apart causing me severe injury... guess I don't get to take my son hunting now....thanks bass pro shops for wasting my time and money...NEVER AGAIN WILL I BY ANYTHING FROM BASS PRO, NOR WILL I RECOMMEND ANY OTHERS TO...
