I recently took a trip to Pensacola and I used the greyhound buses. I went from Tampa to Tallahassee, then from Tallahassee to Pensacola. I'll start with the ride to Pensacola: The Tampa station was nice. There wasn't much people there. I went inside and the lady at the front desk was nice and she did her job, quick and easy. The bus driver who drove the bus was informative and nice. He made sure that everything was on time.
Now when I got to Tallahassee greyhound station it was a whole different story. The bus driver told us that if the people in yellow shirts aren't here we would have to take our own luggage and board them again but lucky for us they were there. I sort of got confused about that part, especially since he said people can stand by the wall and get their luggage. He was nice about it. Now I was still a bit confused, so I went up to another woman who worked there and she was just rude. I could tell the woman had an attitude so I thanked her and walked off. Now the Tallahassee station was a bit packed. I went to get food and came to sit down, luckily I found a seat, and then it went from slightly packed to packed. The Tallahassee station is so small. So small. It seems to be a main stop for a lot of people so I am not sure why they would not expand more on it. There were people standing up all over the place with their luggage. I also noticed that there was homeless people in their as well asking for money, which I found a bit awkward. The station is not how they make it seem online. How it's all professional, cleaned, excellent customer service it isn't at all. Luckily, for me a nice older woman who didn't worked there helped me get on the right bus because I did not know where I was going, as it was my first time. The man who took the ticket was also a bit rude as well. After I boarded the bus I went straight to my destination.
Now the ride back to Tampa was uncomfortable as well. In the Pensacola station, the woman at the front desk was just rude. Her attitude was ridiculous and does not make you feel welcomed. I left Pensacola around 1:45am. I got on the bus and it was packed already, which wasn't a problem. I managed to land a seat all the way in the back sitting next to a young man. I woke him up and he moved his things. The next question he asked me was, "Did you come alone?" Nothing else scared me more than this right here. He had a small group of friends with him as well. I couldn't sleep or rest for half an hour until I switched seats and sat somewhere else. I understand that I was riding a bus with a bunch of people I did not know, but I felt very unsafe.
Honestly I will not be riding this again unless they happen to change a lot of aspects of it. I think it is a really nice way for people to travel, but the customer service is really bad and the stations are not how they make it...
Read moreTo start off with the price of my ticket was ridiculous I pd 184.$ when I was quoted 87.82$ but in tampa fl there's nothing but a window no bus station of any kind. You wait out side in the heat and homeless ppl not to say that's a bad thing but when you have to wait all day and night cuz the prices of the ticket were going up and dwn is crazy for a 24hr trip which turned into a 35 hr trip. I am handicap person with a walker traveling alone having to put my own luggage off and on the bus three lay overs having to lug it to the restroom cuz didn't want someone to steal it is crazy and the restrooms in Orlando and Atlanta and in Charlotte were discussing however in Charlotte they did come out and clean them while I was on my five hour lay over. I just dnt understand how you can make a layover and have no food or anything to make you feel safe. I gave the money to get me to Ashland KY in a safe control matter I was treated with more respect in jail. I've been home for three days now and my back is still hurts from carrying my luggage everywhere I flixs to go. I dnt get it why pay yall over 100.$ if you dnt care for luggage????? When airlines was cheaper I just 30.$ more which I couldn't afford atm. The 2nd to last driver I had was most pleasant one I had none of them not one took my walker out of the luggage compartment so I could use the restroom on the stops that were made I will NEVER recommend nor travel with greyhound again your ppl ate rude inconsiderate and unpolite I thought that yall would want ppl to travel with you I guess not. It is not the only was they treated me it's the way I saw they treated others cuz I stayed to myself cuz I was scared of being left behind that's what they all sd when they made any type of announcement. Here's the bus numbers I rode and I got my ticket on July 22nd @12;40am 1st bus 86696 2nd bus 86246 3rd bus 86913 They all were rude mean treated us as passengers of criminals of some crimes dnt know why dnt know even the ppl that got off the busses were complaining how rude and glad they are off the bus I'm really sorry but you are not got any good...
Read moreYou deserve negative stars. My daughter arrived early for her bus only to be told (upon arrival and checking in) that her bus had been delayed. And there was no data on where her bus was. Her booked trip was to leave at 720 am!! When did she leave?? After 12 pm!! Well that's where it starts. Once she arrives at her transfer station, she was told her bus was delayed. Finally after and hour and half, she gets on the next bus. Once she arrives in Atlanta it gets worse. She waits the allotted time only to be told her bus already left!! How is that possible when everyone waiting on said bus is still in the station.. waiting!!! And had been waiting for HOURS! What was supposed to be a 10 1/2 hour trip has now turned into a 24+/- hour trip! Your customer service and ability to maintain a schedule deserves a negative review on all counts. The only reason said stations are still in use is because they are MAJOR hubs. If people had other options, you best believe the Atlanta, GA hub would NOT be around. Both the Tampa and Atlanta hubs are disgusting and the employees are rude and not helpful at all. Bus riders were stepping over homeless people to get inside in Atlanta. I expected more from a DECADES long reputable bus lines to successfully transport my daughter to her destination!! I would urge anyone who was looking to travel by bus to search any other company but Greyhound! I know our measly one trip means nothing, but your company is garbage and doesn't care for anyone spending...
