UPDATED We've been here a month, and despite trying to make the best of it because the manager (lied) said they would do what it takes to resolve the issue we are finding ourselves more miserable each passing day. As a point of reference, I've lived in a luxury high rise before in South Florida, where the night clubs are open until 5 AM. I never had this many issues not only with noise but with such terrible management. I've decided to create bullet points to make this an easier read.
-The unit we were originally leased failed inspection. We were notified last-minute that we would not be able to move in and had to scramble to sort that out days before our move. The entire north-facing units from 6-10 are part of that so I would beware if you are planning to lease one of them. -The elevators at one point over the Christmas weekend were all completely out of service. This happened after ourselves and our family were briefly stuck in the far-left elevator. The elevator dropped half a floor before stopping completely. We were uncertain if and when it would resume. This was not only embarrassing but terrifying. We have been settling with just one elevator for almost a week. -The freight elevator has also been out of service, making it impossible for us to throw out boxes as needed. How a 24-story building can have all of its 4 resident elevators out of service at once baffles me. We are paying a premium to live like this?! -The week we moved in, we had construction employees entering the unit unannounced and unauthorized on 3 separate occasions. A clear violation of our leasing agreement and our privacy. The management "fixed" the issue by taping a sign to our door so that they wouldn't come in. If you travel through the building you will see these ghetto signs taped to the doors on the units that are rented. I will include a picture in the comments so you see what it looks like. -The manager is never here and extremely difficult to get in touch with. She does not call back when she states she will. She also behaved completely unprofessionally towards us behind the guise of the Nine15 logo. Screenshots will also be included below. Just ask yourself before moving in, do you want to deal with a manger like this? -The reviews you are reading are not from people living here. One review is a staff member who also does not live here. Other reviewers are friends or business contacts in the area. -Their leasing agent who was with them from day 1 has already quit. Make of that what you will but its very telling to me.
We were so excited to move here and were left utterly and deeply disappointed. We've wasted so much time, energy, and money moving to this apartment and now we are moving back out, right after the holidays, after only being here a month. I implore you not to get stuck in this same horrible nightmare we are living!
Original review: I am absolutely crushed to even be writing this because we fell in love with property the moment we set foot here...but we moved in yesterday and are now being held hostage by the loud, obnoxious music from Franklin Manor. We have been able to meet several of our neighbors, but only because we all sit and wait for TPD in the lobby together. No one in the entire building is sleeping. It sounds like the music is being blared right in our living room. The music starts at 6pm and does not end until 3am every night except Sunday and Monday. We bought ear plugs to attempt to sleep tonight and they don't even block out the noise. The bass is so loud the doors in our apartment vibrate. We aren't even facing the club and it sounds like we are inside of it. We can't enjoy the pool or sky lounge because the music is so loud you have to shout just to hear each other Every single person who has moved in is absolutely miserable and so so tired. I didn't want to write this because I love the staff and the property but I can't in good conscience not warn people who are thinking of moving here. The decibels this evening were at 83...a freight train is 80. This is awful and...
Read moreWhile being one of the first tenants in this building, we were originally thrilled to be moving in. The gym is so nice and apartments looked appealing on the outside. Jenna (our original leasing consultant) assured us there would be 24 hour concierge and security as well as noise cancelation from other tenants and exterior surroundings.
This was a complete bait and switch. We originally had agreed to live in one of the penthouse apartments but were told they had all already been occupied. Mind you, at this point they had not had a single tenant moved in as the building had not yet opened for business. Now 3 months later, there are still many penthouse apartments unoccupied. So we settled unhappily on a floor below it.
Since then, we have dealt with construction workers helping themselves into my apartment without warning. On 1 of these occasions, my girlfriend who thought she was home alone, came out of the shower naked to find a male worker in our kitchen. When we brought this to managements attention, we were told it was in our lease that they could come in with a 24 notice. We received no notice of any kind and no longer feel safe.
On another occasion we had a new neighbor just move in (to a penthouse apartment above us) and constantly party till 6 am. When we tried to notify security that we could hear every word from every song they were blasting, we found that there was no security after midnight. What? We were told there would be someone at the front desk 24 hours a day. This was one of the selling features for us. Just last night, the same residents had another party while propping open the lobby door so any Joe off the street could help themselves into my “safe, luxury living high rise apartment”. There were so many people that you could hear them in the hallways from the floor below. When I went to use the elevator to ask the tenant to lower their music at 1:30 in the morning on a Thursday night, I find out the elevators are out of service. This happened because there were too many people in the elevator, and it became stuck between floors. We went to the office to bring this to managements attention the following morning and spoke with Michael. Michael was very disrespectful and in no way sympathetic to the situation. He continually talked over me and cut me off with statements saying “you act like you never have had to deal with a noisy neighbor before”. This is customer service? A noisy neighbor is one thing but, hearing them from the floor below, adjacent to them in an L shaped building at 1:30am on a Thursday night?
This is not what I would expect from a “Luxury High-Rise”. We were one of the original tenants to move in and I have lived in luxury high rises in downtown Chicago and Manhattan. I have never had to deal with such disrespectful management. A tenant should never have to feel like a hostage to the people they pay to ensure they have an enjoyable, safe and secure living experience.
The building is pretty and well located but I would not recommend living here. If I could get out of my lease without paying penalties, I would definitely make the switch. I’ve lived here 3 months now and can not wait for the duration of this lease to be complete.
My opinion, this place could be nice, but the staff should work for the residents, not the other way around. Change the management and treat the residents as guests, with respect and this place would definitely be a good place to live. It’s very dissaponting because we had such high...
Read moreI lived in 915 for a year and I will give you my honest review.
First, the gym is amazing. It rarely has many people there and has the best equipment of any gym I have ever lived. The bad parts are that the circuit for the treadmills is constantly blowing so often there will only be one in use. They promised there would be ondemand fitness when we moved in, a year later and they are still giving the run around that the company is non responsive. Which after a full year was an obvious lie.
As mentioned before the maintenance people are amazing. Zero complaints here. They even know the residents by name which is impressive with so many people.
If you face the south you have a great view, but face the train. If you face west, great view but you hear the club noise which is worse. If you face the north, you get the sunset/ raymond james fireworks and still some noise from Franklin manor and if you face east you have a brick wall, but no noise. Regardless, get noise cancelling headphones if you want a view.
As mentioned before the gates are constantly breaking in the building. Annoying when you are trying to come/ go. Still better parking situation than when living at the Element.
Bike storage is a nightmare and several people have had their bikes stolen.
The building is located across from UT which attracts a lot of college students. If you are a college student, this may be appealing to you. If you are not, this is a nuisance.
Now the biggets issue in my opinion is the management team's inability to keep employees. The turnover is insane. At least 12 people have came and went from the office staff which obviously causes issues when you need something and no one knows what the heck is going on.
Security also has the same turnover and it is hit or miss whether your guests/ uber eats will be let right up or wait 20 minutes. The same with waiting around for a package. That is one thing I do not miss, waiting 30 minutes for a package after a long work day.
Pets, they charge an obscene pet deposit and pet rent and then you have to walk your dog three blocks to a disgusting dog park that you share with all the resident of 915, The Element, Skypoint and the local bums. Sometimes entertaining and sometimes scary to walk your dog past the drunks leaving the bar and the homeless population strolling in from the bus station when your dog needs a late night walk.
The worst thing about all of this is that when a pipe burst and flooded our apartment (which has happened more than once) and caused three inches of water to flow into our apartment and ruin many of our belongings there was zero accountability from management. They simply expect you to file an insurance claim which obviously had a deductible. We had the worst experience I have ever had leaving the building and are still waiting on a refund for the overpayment of rent for our last month and you guessed it, the awful property manager, Micha, is non reponsive. I just found out the reason that the check still has not been recieved because Micha did not enter our new address into the system after I gave it to her. I guess she wrote it on her post it note and tossed it. Something that even a temp could handle but the "manager" failed to do. I wouldn't be surprised if her poor communication is the reason for the high turnover.
Save yourself the headache and live somewhere else unless you want a bunch of empty promises, poor customer service, loud noise and no...
