I'll try to make a long story short. I came in to get a quote for a speaker front driver side speaker replacement in my truck which had the BOSE speaker system in it. Ended up getting talked into 4 new Focal speakers, against better judgement. I always do my due diligence, so this is partially on me. I was told if I dropped off the truck at open (9am), it should be done around mid afternoon. Fast forward, it's the day of the appointment, I arrive about 30 minutes after open (9:30am), drop the truck off and leave. I get a phone call & voicemail from them at about 3:30pm, they say that my tire pressure light is lit up on the dash and my running boards aren't working. I call them back and told them I'm aware of both, they tell me it's standard procedure when they pull a vehicle in to do an inspection. Odd from an audio/stereo shop, and it was never disclosed they do this any time prior. I didn't take my truck there for an inspection, I took it there for speakers to be installed. Before I hang up I ask if they have a timeframe of when the truck might be done, Aaron says in short "Nope, don't know. We'll give you a call". Abrupt and rude, but onward we go. It's 6:40pm and still nothing from them, I call them and tell them to leave the keys in the truck once they're done. Also worth noting, I called around 4pm and mentioned this had to be done that day, as I needed the truck that weekend for work. They said yeah, no problem. Fast forward, I get phone calls around 8pm from them, couldn't get to the phone so I expect a voicemail saying the truck is done. Nope, nor any actual verbiage saying the truck is finished. Finally, Parker texts and asks if I want the truck unlocked or locked. So here I am at 8:30pm driving to pickup my assumed finished truck, hours past the timeframe that was initially given. Sounds like it was put off until the very end of the day. I pick up the truck and right away I notice the speakers are quieter. I come to find out the next day that these speakers are 4ohm and the BOSE system was 2ohm. Also, that the BOSE amp does NOT pair well w/ aftermarket speakers without additional components (aftermarket amp). Circling back, this is partially on me for not researching enough. It's Monday of the following week, I call and verbally indicate to Aaron my concerns and how I am not happy with the new speakers. He tells me to come in the next day and talk to Parker the owner. I come in the next day hoping to find a solution that works for the both of us, instead I'm met with an arrogant owner who does not care what customers have to say or the feedback given. It was like our conversation was going in circles with nothing getting through. I voiced that my issue was how I was really disappointed that I was not told beforehand that changing these speakers out, while maintaining the factory BOSE amp, would cause a drop in overall power and the sound level would go down. He said that it's always their recommendation that an aftermarket amp be installed and paired with speakers, but again this was NEVER mentioned at all up until this point, when the speakers had already been paid for and installed. He just kept saying how he's replaced tons of BOSE systems with few complaints, while not actually listening to what I was trying to voice to him. I WASN'T HAPPY with how the new speakers sounded. The conversation was like pulling teeth, hoping that he would suggest an option (not involving me paying another chunk of cash) to make it right. Hoping that he would own up to the fact that not all details were communicated prior to me paying over $1000 for these speakers. Instead, I got a quote for an amp at $600 out the door, after taking off $140 on the price. The experience was terrible, everything from communication, to customer service as a business was a 0 star experience. I would recommend NEVER taking your business here, at the end of the day, all they care about is making a profit off you and don't give a rats ass on how satisfied you are as a customer or your concerns once...
Read moreI'm not really the type of person to complain about anything I'm very easy going but this was my experience. I bought my speakers last month and scheduled my appointment for yesterday 5/20/22 took 2.5 hours to get installed which was fine, no problem I wish I would have gotten an ETA. I picked up my car then left. A few hours later I started to notice a buzzing noise coming from one of my speakers. I called told them what was going on I believe I talked to Eddy he told me that was normal (it didn’t sound normal) for after market speakers to have that noise and to give it a few days. If it was normal why would I spend so much money into getting new speakers, and get them installed there to have them buzz constantly? No. I would rather have my stock speakers back in my car. I called again and spoke to Larry answered he actually listened to my concerns and told me to bring it in at 9am 5/21/22 right when they opened to check it out, and I really appreciated that. I bring it in at 9am I was the first person to walk in the door after they unlocked it. I talked to an older gentleman I didn’t get his name. He was super nice came out to my car listened to my speaker that was making the noise and explaining to me what it could be then said that they’ll take a look at it. I left my car there I called 2.5 hours later (11:30am) to get an update and talked to Eddy. He said they (mechanics) still haven’t taken it back to a look at it yet. And that I probably wasn’t even there at 9am to have them look at it right away. Then I told him I was the first person to walk in after they unlocked the doors. Which is besides the point I thought it was kind of rude. I then asked when it would be done then said no later than 6pm. I live in Michigan I don’t live right around the corner (I have told them that). An hour into driving back home while I wait for my car they called me and told me my car done so I turned around to come and get it. They have poor communication to customers about the timing that they’ll have your car done or even looked. I understand that they have other cars to work on however, the way they had me come at 9 am as they’re opening knowing they had other cars before me they could have called me to come later in the day if needed. When I got back to the store they told me that my tweeter speaker (the small speaker that emit the “upper” range of sounds used for reproducing music and speech that subs can’t really produce that well) the wires were running too hot causing the buzzing noise. Thankfully they were able to fix the issue at no charge. If I would have waited longer like the first guy said that could have possibly started a fire in my car. Side note my speakers sound amazing now that the buzzing...
Read moreI feel like I was scammed. My husband bought me a remote start for Christmas for my 2021 Colorado I got in November. We took the truck into have it installed and it was there all day. We finally called an hour before they closed and asked if it was done, the worker said yes it has been done no one called you? My husband said no, but we are on our way. We arrive there and we were on a hurry bc we had dinner reservations. We get home and then on the way to dinner I am trying to download the app and set up the remote start. It is not working….. So on Monday my husband calls and asks why it won’t work. The worker then informs him we don’t have the proper equipment and need an additional part! I would think that since they do this for a living they would have noticed that….. also I would have thought they would know that a 2021 Colorado comes with a remote start. I had no idea as this is the newest car I have purchased in years. I have a 2005 Buick and a 2012 Acadia that I totalled in November. I got the Colorado when my father died, I do not think he even realized it had remote start. So basically I feel like they scammed us when selling it to us, and I really feel like they scammed us when they forgot to tell us we needed an additional part and would have to come in AGAIN and leave the truck for an entire day! When my husband asked how much it would cost to have it removed they said we would have to bring it in and have them look ….. you just installed it a month ago! I have used them twice in the past and would...
