Classic Interiors by C & M Upholstery — Attraction in Town of Clifton Park

I needed to fit my windows with shades and had used Hunter Douglas in other homes to great satisfaction. Megan came over and checked out the windows--2 different sizes--and showed me the requested honeycomb style and all the different colors and fabrics. Estimate provided same day, order placed with final color selection. The order arrived 2 weeks earlier than expected (Yay! before the holidays) and were installed. The installer was experienced, careful and friendly. Megan was professional, knew the products and helped with all the paperwork regarding tax credits and rebates. I will call them again for the final slider as that will be quite different than honeycomb.

Update: Final slider with valance is installed. Megan made it easy, taking care of the rebate and the tax credit. Mike, the installer, was great as he was the 1st time he came here. Quick install and removed all the boxes. Many thanks!

8-21-25 Another Update: We finally decided to put Duette blinds on the final two kitchen windows. Initially I did not think we needed them. But no that they are installed, They are great! The kitchen is much cozier. Megan came over to recheck her measurements from last hear, and Aimee was heroic in getting the install scheduled. I think the installer was Mike (I wasn't here), but the install took about 15 minutes and he adjusted the vertical blinds he had installed last year (or maybe 2023?). We are always happy with the professional service we receive from Customs Interiors. We also used them for replacing the foam inserts in couch cushions. Fantastic! What a difference that...

I chose this shop because mom had her sofa reupholstered here several years ago, and it came out lovely. I met with Rene, and after chatting for a bit, and showing her photos of my room and furnishings, we "clicked" and had the same vision for the transformation of my two living room chairs which I wanted to use as dining room chairs. This involved raising the seat height a few inches, and adding castors to the legs. She was extremely helpful in showing me fabrics, and I was able to land on a beautiful textile after seeing only a few selections. Her guidance saved me from the confusion of seeing too many choices and becoming overwhelmed, and saved a lot of time. Her attention to details of the finish of the nail heads and castors created a truly custom and cohesive creation, and made this a very satisfying and confidant consultation. The work performed was meticulous and I will cherish this pair of chairs for the rest of my life. All the staff was friendly, and the talent of the man and woman doing the upholstery is top notch! I recommend this shop to anyone who needs to have new life breathed back into their vintage pieces, and I am very pleased with investment I have made in my home...
