As a business graduate, I ran to google reviews to see what other people were going to say after my first encounter with this mall. There are so many things wrong with Samanea mall, it’s hard to even consider they are doing literally anything right. From the outside perspective, the name and logo are so confusing to first timers (a colorful tree with no mention of it being a mall?) that it’s hard to even notice there is a mall inside let alone grab your attention. The stores inside offer little to no variety and kiosks feel cheap and sad. I felt intense sympathy watching people sell “knockoff” insanely poor quality items late into the night providing me with a sense of dread. “As I type this I realize that it is a perfect word to describe this mall, dreadful.” Without rhyme or reason to either try 99 ranch, or Cheesecake Factory, I believe the entire mall serves no purpose as there are better more “lively” malls in the surrounding area. Unlike other malls, the addition of the Cheesecake Factory should inherently drive business akin to QCM (queens center mall) yet there is absolutely nothing interesting to do after going to such a limited restaurant. I would love to help the owner realize the potential of this space and help drive more business but to be honest it seems as if he/she has given up. Hearing that the current state of the mall was drafted in 2017, absolutely sickens me as a marketing student as it definitely has had more ample time to progress into a competitive position within the bubble of garden city malls. As someone with a aptitude for marketing within affluent suburban communities, I would love to chat with the owner to try to discuss a plan before complete bankruptcy ( let’s be real, axe throwing and pod spaces are a sign of the end times within malls). There are a lot of cons than pros with Samanea Mall, and I don’t have enough space here to discuss it all, but if you are the owner and see this comment please wake up and recognize that there is a gold mine you...
Read moreThe Mall has change a lot compare to years ago, the foodcourt area only have about 4 to 5 stores and all the other stores that you can shop in are either closing down or stores where most people will not going shopping at, but never the lest there are about 40 stores might even be lower than this number. Specially compare to Rooseveltfield mall there no way you can compare. I will say a few things that are positive about the mall. The mall is a great place to take someone on a first date, not many people and both of you can forcus on each other. The mall is a great place for senior citizens they can walk take there time and no big crowds. The mall is a VERY great place to take your kids without worrying about keeping track of where your kids are going. If you want to watch a few music videos while your eating they also have this and you can also text a music video you would like to watch on the television and it will play in...
Read moreThe mall is a dead mall and in a state of lack of maint. Leaks all over the place and paint peeling off the ceilings and cheesy cheap stores left with no quality products. You cant even buy a pair of jeans and boots if you came inside looking. To make things worst management for this mall is very unprofessional. I met the assistant manager Christine to inquiry about renting an open space, and she pretty much blew me off, made me even less interested in moving in,and never followed up or forwarded my business number so I can talk to someone who is really in charge of leasing space. Very unprofessional and poor attitude in general. Never seen an idiot female in management. She really has no involvement there, but to pretend like she is actually doing something. Get her off the...
