The Shirt Shack — Local services in Town of Lake George

I visited this store with my 7-year-old son, my newborn daughter, and several of my son’s friends. I told my son he could pick out a few things he wanted, and his friends were doing the same with their own money.

While my son was walking around holding a few items, a man who appeared to be either the owner or an employee approached him and took the toys right out of his hands. I immediately walked over to find out what was going on, and the man told me, “He has to buy these.”

I explained that we planned on buying them, to which he awkwardly replied that he would “leave them at the front counter.” I asked why my son couldn’t simply hold the items himself like any normal store experience. After hesitating, he handed them back to my son, but the whole interaction felt strange and uncomfortable.

When we finally got to the checkout, the same man wrongly accused one of the other little boys of having a scooter when they had already decided against buying it and put it back. At that point, the entire group felt uneasy and several of the kids put their items back altogether.

My son still wanted one small $10 toy, so I allowed him to buy it, but to be honest, I really didn’t feel comfortable spending money here after how we were treated. The entire experience came across as unwelcoming and accusatory toward children who were simply excited to shop.

We will not be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone—especially families...

I went to the first store they owned and bought 100 dollars worth of stuff all the work they do is horrible don’t waste your money they sent me over to the other store to have shirts designed with what I want on them so I did and charged me another 130 then was put folded in a bag the writing on the shirt was peeling off when I got to the hotel room and all the shirts are ruined he gives me a 3 dollar shirt to make up for all the money I spent what a slap in the face his worker made the sweatshirt over and hung it on a hanger and still messed up this place should be out of business they are taking Advantage of people don’t ever bring your business Go to the T-shirt place right around the corner much better Quality and also very friendly buyers beware 👎👎👎🤦‍♀️👎👎👎👎👎👎👎all about taking your hard earned money...

Went in was told everything was buy one get one. I wanted to hoodies made at said price of 45 dollars a piece. Told me he could put mine and my husband name and anniversary on them not specifying he would charge an extra 50 dollars.i wanted a pair of slippers for my daughter so he said buy the 2 hoodies I'll give u the slippers. Then said give me a review I'll give u a t-shirt. It came up to $215.00 dollars some how so I said u said u would give me the slippers if I bought 2 hoodies and I still manged to pay $170.00 for 2 frigging hoodies. Becaue the tshirt he gave for the review he charged for the print on it Scam scam watch how he talks to u because he doesn't explain...
