I don't write reviews very often........ away we go. First off: great staff, great owners (very approachable and friendly). Small, clean and cozy atmosphere. I would not advise bring the whole hockey team in for food. Just call and place your order because it is way to small but this is a perfect spot for couples. (Limited seating). Definitely ordering 2 dozen bagels for tomorrow.

A full-range coffee bar brought to you by Green Mountain Brewing company. lattes, cappuccino, tea, you name it, they have it. Bagels are garenteed fresh daily with a wide range of flavored cream cheese spreads.

Vegan? Vegetarian? Keto (low carb) diet? High carb diet? Gluten free? Nut allergy? Don't worry. They have a fair amount of options to choose from.

Spent the whole morning sleeping? don't worry- bfast and lunch is served all day however getting up early is advised. Since they make x amount of bagels a day so they might run out of the bagel you want by 1pm. (Learned that the hard way)

Picky kid eaters? They have a kid friendly menu that Kidz and the Kidz AT HEART are sure to enjoy. Try the Graham cracker bagel w Nutella and banana. It's my favorite.

Final note: this place really does exceed my expectations and could easily compete with any restaurant in NYC. As a Bronx native, this place has some of the quickest and professional service I've ever seen. Definitely recommend this to anyone visiting or even if you need a detour before...

Six of us went in to grab a bite for breakfast. I asked for a Latte and she abruptly told me; "we don't sell Lattes". She stared at me a long pause, and then said: "we only sell coffee". Stare ...Across the street they sell Lattes, in the mall. I said:"ok, how about a medium coffee". "We only have large and small", she retorted in a clipped tone. Pregnant long pause. I laughed; and looked at the younger woman who was quiet, to break the bitchiness spell, saying: "well I'm just striking out here"! I ordered a sandwich and went to get coffee while everyone else ordered. They had 3 light coffees and a medium. I like: "add another handful cowboy" type coffee. They were out of cream. She ignored me. My daughter got her to refill the cream. My husband, last to order his breakfast of the family, asked if the bagels had cottonseed oil (which gives him migraines). She said in a clipped tone: "I don't know what that is". ...she didn't know what the ingredients were, and didn't offer to find out. The coffee was mediocre. Anyone who likes good strong coffee will be disappointed. I will say the bagel breakfast sandwich was tasty, hence...

This is the only place in the tri-lakes area where you can get fresh hand-made bagels every day. Vladimir and Victoria, the young, hard working and very good looking immigrant couple who took over the business some years ago, have turned it around to where people can be seen lined up down the street each morning during the summer waiting to sink their teeth into one of their delicious sandwiches made with their huge bagels. Or they may just want a bagel with nothing more than butter, which one might consider a meal in itself. Once they get to know you a little and learn where you live, don't be too surprised if Vladimir drives his Lexus SUV right up to your door some day during the winter, on a day when you just want to stay inside where it's warm, and delivers a bag full of the types of bagels he knows you like, and says, "Don't worry about paying anything this week. We'll settle up next time." He's a guy who -- quite literally -- enjoys going the extra mile to take care of...

Ironic name for a place that isn't very joyful, lol. As some other people have mentioned, the bagels here are delicious, and the selections of spreads are vast. However, the staff (at the time we visited anyway) wasn't friendly at all. Visibly irritated and rush you in and out. Granted, we did stop in on the weekend; however, it made it difficult to ask any questions/get into the experience. The store is also very tight inside, which isn't a reflection of this review, just an FYI for wondering what the inside looks like. Long hallway style, so if you're claustrophobic or worried about being in close quarters during COVID, this is probably not the place for you. Nonetheless, the bagels were delicious, and I would stop by perhaps on a less busy day to grab a couple of these bagels! My favorite was the Asiago Cheese. :)

Long line outside makes you believe this place is high quality but really it's just the only proper bagel shop in town. There is another cafe that serves bagels but I figured this would be the right place to come. I really wanted to like this place but the bagels were just meh very bland and toasting was rushed. They look like they make better bagel sandwiches my boyfriend had a toasted ealverything bagel with smoked Lox lettuce capers and cream cheese red onions and that was good but my toasted asiago with scallion cream cheese was really disappointing. Coffee menu otherwise looked nice and it was crowded hard to maintain 6ft once inside. They also seem to be liked for their colorful rainbow bagel. I would skip this bagel spot if that's truly what you want.

We loved this place, picked up breakfast all three days we were in town, and a couple of bagels to carry up Mt Marcy for our hike! They make for a great snack to pack away (even when enjoyed in the rain on the mountain...). Bagels are a good size, just the right amount of fluffy and chewy. Everything had the personal touch, including the home cooked eggs for the sandwiches. Service was speedy considering how busy it was even on a Sunday morning when you couldn’t get a table for brunch anywhere in town for under an hour-long wait. To the reviewer commenting on the price, I would invite him to try the packaged bagels down the street for 30% more, then return to Soulshine to appreciate a homemade version at, what we thought, was a good price.
