Ā Ā Ā Read moreA classic dump. One of the first malls I recall going to as a child. Used to be a Borders bookstore here that was pretty baller to young-Me. Now it's a rug shop? Or it was? I'm unsure if it isn't clear. Cinnabon has some good rolls. The Sbarro's pizza was always awful. I remember a Mediterranean place nearby had some annoying guys hawking the food to anyone and everyone, essentially heckling them to try it. Not a pleasant experience to be heckled into buying food at 18. Some awful band was also selling shirts and CDs here to vaguely fund ending hunger or something. Not very clear. One time delivered a pizza to a guy wearing one of those shirts. I said something like "oh you know them?" and he replied "so they got you too?" Good times. This place is decrepit now though. Might walk through just to see what the decay is like these days. I'm picturing it's like walking through the half rotten corpse of a not-so-alive beached whale.
EDIT: did end up stopping by just to see how things were doing here. This place is more like a hospice floor now. Beyond miserable atmosphere; I sincerely hope everyone who works here is looking online for a new job while they're on the clock. Coming here is depressing and unnerving and will not bring back any feelings of nostalgia. It's more like how I imagine Tony Soprano feels looking at his evil...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI only go here because itās convenient. It was my favorite mall when I was younger. Itās definitely not the same. The environment is dull, one of the escalators has been broken for over a year, the majority of the stores have closed/gone out of business, and the opening hours change just as often as the Michigan weather. They actually need to be updated as I type this. I was recently informed that the mall opens up at 11am during the week days now. Not at 10 as the listed information says. The owner of the mall needās to do better. It was acquired in 2022 with promises of renovations that the public hasnāt seen. Nobody cares about dinosaur exhibits and Christmas trees š Try providing an over all better shopping experience. Try going back and doing your research on what allowed the mall to thrive back in the day then go from there. It would probably be better to do the actual work verses have your friends who have probably never even visited this mall write fake reviews here...
