Tualatin Lake at the Commons — Attraction in Tualatin

As far as shopping centers go this one is pretty good. The amount of food and other businesses in the area are a good mix of fine American dining and various Asian food restaurants and there is also a smattering of medical offices in the area as well.

I am slightly torn on the man-made lake because while it is beautiful and well maintained it also seems completely unnecessary and it causes traffic to have to drive around it to get to other shopping areas and businesses in the area. I also just feel like the money could have been spent on something far more useful then a giant Lake.

At least it's a good place to go for a walk on a nice day and I have done that before with my wife and also my dogs. I won't dock it too much but if the main feature was something other than that Lake it would have been probably near...

Fast seating on a weeknight. The berry cocktail was good. The salad and ranch was ok. Pork sliders were delicious. The “mini grilled cheese” is half a sandwich, it was ok. Wasn’t a fan of the tomato bisque. The pretzel was good but the cheese tasted like melted lunchables cheese. The Hawaiian burger was really good, messy. The pizza was good. Salmon and coconut shrimp were pretty good, though there was a heavy lemon sauce that was a bit overpowering. Custard was good, strong lemon flavor. Lava cake was good, though didn’t seem like an actually lava cake with “lava” inside.

Nice public space surrounding a tiny lake that's great for walks and Pokémon/Ingress/Wizard-ing. Potted plants are refreshed every season and there's activities happening there year round - summer there's the crawfish fest, movies, concerts, kids playing in the fountain, fall there's the West Coast Giant Pumpkin Regatta and associated pumpkin/fall harvest events, winter there's the holiday season events and lights, and spring there's the Snow Ball, runs and Arbor Week. Year round there's plenty of bird watching and toy boat racing. Lots of local restaurants nearby as well as the park just a short 5-10...
