C I Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Tualatin

The food and drinks were decent, but the server totally screwed our experience. They had customers, but weren't busy by any means especially for a Friday night. We sat down, and was greeted for drinks, but after that it just went down hill. I'm not a complainer and am a very patient and understanding person, but we were being blatently ignored. She (Kasey according to the receipt) was joking with the bartenders, bar top customers, or just plain old nowhere to be found. She came around eventually to see if we wanted another round of drinks, but then forgot by the time she left. When she remembered, the drinks were pretty tasty! We also had to asked for a menu since they serve food, and she disappeared again. One of the other servers on the floor kept passing by, and finally stopped by our table to see if we wanted to put an order in (THANK YOU! Wish I knew her name). She took our order, and even went out of her way to give us a suggestion for the type of bread for our sandwich, which we appreciated (The Natural was super delicious with the wheat bread!). We were out of drinks again at this point, and our actual server kept passing by us again without checking in. I ended up going up to the bar to ask for another round, and the bartender asked me who our server was. I had to be honest, because at that point I wasn't sure. One gal took our drink order and the other took our food. Turned out our server was the disappearing act gal. She showed up just after I sat down again, and asked if we wanted the drinks I had just asked for. Of course we did. Our food came out and we had asked initially for ranch to dip the tater tots in, but we hadn't received it, so asked again. She forgot again for a bit, but eventually came back with them. At that point, we were again out of drinks and she didn't see if we needed more or water or anything. We were pretty thirsty at this point, but were just fed up by that point, so just decided to get through the meal to leave. When she decided to show again, we just asked for the bill. She asked if we were doing one bill or splitting, and we asked to split it 50/50. She came back with one bill, and when we looked at it we were charged $1.25 for side dressing and $0.75 for "Misc Food" twice. When we asked about the "Misc Food" charges, she said it was for the side dressing, so we pointed out that it was already charged. (By the way, who charges for ranch to dip tots in?) She said she didn't realize it had been charged, so adjusted it off. We left super upset by the whole experience. I guess the point in my long winded story is don't sit in the section just across from the bar if "Kasey" is working. Even in clear sight, she's too preoccupied to help you. Maybe we should have sat at the bar? Or in the section that looked busier to get the...

We ate there after finding them on Google Maps. My husband had the patty melt and I had the CI Cheeseburger. We each upgraded our orders with onion rings. The onion rings were things of beauty like we used to get at burger joints in the 60's and 70's (extra napkins to wipe those fingers) Food was delivered to our table exactly as ordered. Very tasty! 02.18.24 Again today, everything was great. The menu has a variety; breakfast, salads, sandwiches, appetizers, steaks, chef's specials. I enjoyed the CI cheeseburger with onion rings, no bun, no red onion. My husband had three street tacos (appetizers) and a side of onion rings. For beverages, we ordered club soda with lime. The lime wedges had been de-seeded and squeezed in just right. De-seeding the limes was that "something extra" that makes me smile. I give this place one star just simply for being present. The service was horrible, every single staff member made a round to our area and had such a "not interested attitude" that I started to question if I had remembered to wear pants. Only, it's December and I know I'm fully dressed, so why two waitresses in a row acted like they couldn't here me ask "Ms., Excuse" and then walk right pass is beyond me. When my husband tried to crack a joke about the weather with the waiter he gave him attitude. As I am trying to brush this off by orderig my burger, no one asked me what rarity, and since I typically cook my own food I didn't think to add it in that I like it rare because of course I already know that. When I got my food the meat was much pinker then I like, I mean MUCH PINKER, but I was so hungry I ate it anyways having worked ten hours wihout a lunch today.. I'm very interested happy...
