My regular eyelash girl had an unfortunate and sudden family death and my appointment had to be rescheduled. She did what she could to still see me, but the timing didnāt work out. I was leaving to visit friends out of state i hadnāt seen in over 10 years. i found lash factor online and read its reviews. Iām weary about new places like the next person, but i wanted my lashes done. I have had lash extensions for 10 years now, but take breaks. Nowadays i only get them when there is an upcoming special event. Making the appointment was Easy. I canāt remember her name, but i did ask if she was the owner to which She replied yes. I shared my preference for someone comfortable working on hooded eyes; that i have had a few notsogood experiences, but those few were memorable enough to cause me a little concern with inexperienced lash technicians. She answered that anyone in her salon will do a great job. I wonāt mention my whole girls name, but the first letter to her name is K. Long story short, i told her what i wanted , showed a pic of what i typically get and the process went as usual. I Did make note of slight And obvious differences With people Iāve been with In the past. I noticed with her, 1) the sting of the glue was felt intermittently during the application process, 2) much more tugging than Iām used to, 3) when she separated strands, it hurt (usually i donāt feel pain) 4) when she removed the tape , my lashes felt heavy, few got stuck which hurt when she removed them . I usually forget i have lashes on within the first few minutes, but when she asked if i liked it i said yes- only because i felt i should give it a chance since it looked A bit different Than Iām use to and It had been couple months since i had any. Driving in the car, i felt my lashes all the way home during my drive, all day the next day and for the week i was gone. I was really impressed that i didnāt itch or tug at them even though they BOTHERED and irritated my eyes! (I have pictures, but not sure if i can post them her yet).During my trip, friends would mention about my lashes. The lashes constantly got caught on other lashEs or twisted in funky directions. They CONSTANTLY hurt. Like someone were tugging on them all day. When i tried Gently brushing them with my mascara wand, the Bristles would catch onto a portion of my eyelash stalk like how a hair brush would get caught in a tangle. I disliked taking ANY pictures because my eyes were red and lashes did NOT do well. When i finally got home, i couldnt take the uncomfortableness. I took a closer look at my lashes because i didnāt really know why or what was causing the pain. Using a magnifying glass and very bright light, i could see the extensions were glued not to one natural lash but some of them to two or three. They were also glued mid shaft it seemed (i donāt believe my lashes grow that much in a week and if they did this time, itās a first), and Then there would be an extension with three lashes glued to a small weaker natural lash, weighing it down and twisting every which way. I texted K and she promptly replied, also Surprisingly seemed to care. I wanted them off ASAP but couldnāt because of my schedule. She offered, but i was also hesitant because i remember her removal and/or separating strands were uncomfortable for me during my one and only application with her. I didnāt realize there was also a charge to remove because Iāve never had to have them removed. The few not so good times Iāve had in the past, the lashes would come off without much effort and hardly any discomfort Or loss to my own lashes, but this time that was NOT the case. It took a couple of days, but i got a refund without hassle and i was grateful (2 āļøs 4 that) K was also professional in her communication with me. My friends mentioned how They should still remove them free of charge AND still give the refund. I only asked again becAuse it was hard to remove them myself. They said yes but Iād be charged. I did it. Anyhow, be careful & hopefully have a better...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOne star is gracious. On 9/20/20 I reached out to Kellie about getting my eyebrows either microbladed or nanobladed because I saw that she had great reciews. I sent her pictures of my previous work and she said "luckilynottobad" and "we can improve them with nano". We make an appointment and I send her my $100 non refundable deposit. Since I had read the policies I texted her a day before my appointment to confirm because no one had checked in with me by then. The day of my appointment comes and I call her about where to park. It turns out she hadn't saved my number correctly and thought I wasn't coming so she scheduled someone else to come instead( I drove 40 mins to get there). We reschedule on her day off because she recognized that was her mistake and I get there, she looks at my eyebrows, and says she doesn't know if she can do them. I show some hesitancy about doing the shading and she says I can go have one of her students do my microblading if that's the look I wanted (I had spent hours researching which place to go to and the good reviews made me think she was the only one I wanted to do them). She ends up doing the eyebrows and sells me a $6 paste for $20 along with some previously used water wipes. I spend $757-$857 including the deposit. The second appointment comes around and she asks me if I can come in earlier instead of our appointment time. No, I can't, I have to work regular hours. I told her it was fine and we can reschedule for spring break and she says she'll "work on it". I call her to see if I'm still having my appointment for the scheduled time and no one answers. Now Kellie is not contacting me back for rescheduling the follow-up appointment. It's been 6 days and she's been posting on Instagram since then. I have never felt more ripped off in my life and have overall had a very disappointing experience, as I had texted her (with no reply) hoping to figure something out. If this hadn't have been such an expensive thing I wouldn't have bothered with the review but the fact that it would cost $857 plus $150 for the touch up?? Don't leave someone with unfinished work then ghost them.
Update: finally got a text back, 22 days later, asking if I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy first set of eyelash extensions I scheduled an appointment for volume lashes and at the end of my appt., the stylist handed me the mirror and informed me that she had decided to use mega-volume lashes instead of volume, which costs much more. I didn't end up complaining because the lashes looked very nice. When I called for a fill, the woman I spoke with set up an appointment with a stylist other than the one I had originally, which I did not think anything of at the time. When I came in for this fill, my appointment began a half hour late. In the middle of my appointment, the stylist apologized that it was taking so long to finish because it was hard for her to work over someone else's lash work. When I looked at my lashes at the end, they were completely different than the set I had originally gotten. A different style and different length. I asked the stylist why they looked this way and she informed me that each specialist used different brands and styles and that she had a hard time blending her lashes with the other stylists lashes. I'm wondering why I was not informed or warned of this change of style before my appointment, by either the woman who set up my appointment or the stylist doing my fill? If I call to schedule a fill, why would I be set up with someone to fill in my lashes with completely different lashes than the ones I had on my eyes already? Neither the woman scheduling my appt. nor the stylist thought to let me know beforehand that she was unable to give me the same look that I received from the first stylist. It wasn't a fill, it was more like a brand new set of a style of lashes I didn't ask for. When I called the owner the next day, she was defensive and proceeded to place the blame on me for not knowing previously that all of their stylists use different lashes and that I was lucky the stylist even did my lashes. Go here if you can put up with terrible service but if not, the lashes are not worth the rudeness and complete lack of...
