đĄ PLEASE SEE PICTURES! -5 stars if I could! đĄ Ok. where to beginâŚâŚmy fiance and I traveled from Washington state to Georgia to surprise his army brother that he hasnât seen in person for 14 years. We rented ourselves a room and him and his gf a room also at sky suites in Tybee Island. The gentleman who checked us in was wonderful. We walked to our room, turned the key, and boomâŚ.slapped in the face with moisture and and the strong smell of mildue. You could squeegee moisture off the dresser with your finger. We kept the door open and thoughtâŚ. Well heck, maybe we can air it out, weâre not that picky. Went to turn the ac unit on for more air flow but no air could come out because the filter was so thick with dust. I was just gasping with a little disgust when I hear my fiance say âis that mold on the comforter?â I was thinking no way but I went to look and sure enough. EVEN after that!!!!! We said, â hey, weâre just using this room to rest our heads, letâs get a new comforter from housekeeping and try that.â So here goes my honey to nicely ask for a non moldy comforter. As heâs out I decide to just the bedding just make sure it is clean. I instantly noticed some black spots barely showing through the pillowcase. I removed the pillow case and ALL pillows had patches of mold! My fiance then went to let the receptionist know we would not be staying for either of our reservations and we could show pictures or show him the room for proof. He at first offered us another roomâŚ.we were not interested at this time to try another room for obvious reasons. so He said no problem we will mark these both as cancelled with booking.com and you will be refunded. We received only one refund and sky suites will not refund me and are saying we were âno showsâ! Booking wonât refund me because sky suites wonât respond to them! We are absolutely disgusted with both sky suites and booking as they are not following through and doing what is right! Do not stay at sky suites and do not use booking as they donât have any customer service to help or any regard for their customers quality of stay. How could you even offer a hotel like this on your website? Check out...

There were no phones in the rooms, you must use your own even to contact the office which no one is ever except around check ins. The lady spoke just enough to get our information, shortly hand over a key, and disappear.
Every single piece of furniture was damaged or missing drawers
Save for the t.v and rusted lamps none of the appliances worked
The bathroom had a rusted and dusty hair dryer that wouldn't even come on no matter how many times we reset both. The water pressure was non existent and there were only two little bars and a single shampoo. The toilet paper holder/dispenser was rusted and dusty.
While some recent improvements are apparent (floors) the room itself was passable until you turn on the a/c unit and discover that not only does it leak, it leaks a lot. The water substantially pooled underneath the outlet by the window the unit was located under. We grabbed the two towels left to us and alerted the office as soon as we could. We were promptly chided for using the only towels available to attempt to dry the spot and had to ask a few times before we could get two more to bathe with.
When it comes to checkout, who knows. You're expected to drop your room key in a slot in an office window. Absolutely no one is inside.
So, to recap; the office and staff are practically non existent unless you are checking in and speak very little, you recieve barely enough towels to bathe with and unless you're a toddler there isn't enough soap to bathe or wash your hands with, none of the appliances work so don't expect any coffee, cold drinks, or dry hair, the water never gets hot so get used to lukewarm showers, ask for the right towels when you check in to clean up the pools of water left by the a/c unit or be prepared to be chided, don't try to go to the office except for check in because the door is locked and no one is there, and check your receipts because no one checks you out after your...
Read moreI booked a king size non-smoking room a couple of days before we went, and we arrived to check in a little before 3 p.m. When we went to the room, it had two double beds and smelled like smoke, so I went back to the office with my confirmation for the king size no smoking room and the owner told me that somebody else wanted the room for two nights instead of one so she gave our room to them. Sorry, but that's not the way it works. When you book a specific room and receive confirmation for that room, you expect to get that room. I asked if she was going to give us a discount for giving our room away and she told me that the room with two beds was actually more exensive, so I was already getting a discount. WHAT??? She did offer a refund, but I already knew that everything was booked at Tybee because I had checked pretty much everywhere else before I booked at this place. I even told her that and she said she didn't know that. The room smelled strongly of bleach, no doubt to try to hide the smell of cigaratte smoke, the beds and pillows were hard, and the air conditioner barely worked and sounded like a bell ringing. If I had not been four hours away from home, I would have taken the refund she offered and left. The only thing that made the stay bearable was the maid, who went out of her way to be accommodating after she heard what had happened to us. Apparently, this happens quite frequently, and I hope that anybody else who wants to make sure they get the room they paid for in advance doesn't have their room given away before they get there. One more thing, if you still plan to book at this place and expect to use the free wifi, plan to be outside of your...
