UPDATE: I have a theory that they have someone go around the building every morning around 7:00 with a leaf blower to wake everyone up so they will get out of their room early for faster room turn over. Unfortunately for those of us who are staying more than one day (which is probably not common considering the horrible conditions of the rooms) we don’t get good rest because the beds are so incredibly uncomfortable and you don’t get to sleep in due to the noise they create every morning. I’m actually laying all the pillows down on the bed and sleeping on those because the mattress is so hard. The pillows are plastic so it’s a bit noisy. Also I’m pretty sure the AC unit has never been cleaned and it’s giving me cold like symptoms (headache, sore throat, clogged /runny nose. Coughing) , because as soon as I leave this room they clear up so that’s another cool thing about this dump. I have more pictures to add of all the pubic hair all over the shower and I’m going to add more pictures with every day that they have planed some kind of loud noise to happen from 7-8:00 AM because I’m pretty sure it’s on purpose and I didn’t pay this much to be woke up every morning. Im sleeping with AC unit on full time and I have sound app on my phone turned up all the way so I can sleep through all the nose in the morning but I can still hear it. It’s so loud. I’m also going to leave early and not tell them so they don’t get to use the room for a day or two maybe even three hahaha . After reading over some reviews I see that they are not actually fixing anything they just say oh sorry …. And someone else leaves a review a couple months later about the same problem (sunken in floor, broken TV’s broke shower, broken broken broken ….. I see a theme) BTW my TV wasn’t working and my neighbor had the same issue which is sus to me because I fixed mine on my own and there seems to be several in the comments. How do TVs not work that often and a maintenance person has to spend 30 min in the room fixing it, I don’t know why but that’s weird. Mine was just a cable unplugged and why was it unplugged? We know they aren’t “cleaning” the cables …. This place creeps me out there are probably cameras hidden uggggg get me out of here.
ORIGINAL POST: If you like to feel gross this is the place for you. Unfortunately I am stuck here for several days due to an air BNB booking that fell through and I’m here from Washington state. I had 24 hrs to find lodging, no car and lots of bags for a 9 day stay. This was all that I could get and it was still $1000!!!!
So enjoy the pictures of what I paid $1000 / 4 nights. Also not pictured is smoke detector hanging out of wall .. I fixed it. Curtain fell off on to my head when I opened it I am not kidding it hit me in the face They decided to clean the parking lot, do all the noisy lawn care or something with a giant loud motor at 7:00 am and then go perfectly quite at 10:00 am when your so mad you couldn’t sleep again if you wanted to. You can hear the room next doors tv as if you’re listening to an audio book. You can hear the wife asking if he got everything out of the room after it sounded like she did a small remodel job before she left and the bathroom smells like smoke when you get it steamy. I’ve never been in prison but I would imagine this is what the bathrooms look like. Also the beds , the blankets and sheets were clean, white and in good shape so that was a god send but the mattress I’m pretty sure is plywood with old couch springs sprinkled on covered by a paper thin layer of comfort. This would be a really good place to send someone as a punishment. Send home the message that you hate them. Sandcastle Inn. Where dreams go to die. All for one easy...
Read moreI recently booked online from out of town. No where on the website mentioned a one car limit. We were going for a fishing event along with making it a mini vacation for a couple of days. When I arrived, they told me only one vehicle could be parked in the lots. Which meant we had to pay extra for parking a vehicle for 3 days. We headed to the room to find the room smelt of dirty mop water. We had to open the door and turn the ac on for about 30 mins to let it air out. I actually took the front off the ac and put a fabric sheet in it as well. Once we unloaded the vehicles in the room and settled the parking issue we decided to go on to the beach and grab dinner as it was later in the evening. When we returned to the room for the night, we found the tv did not work. We called front desk and asked for someone to fix it as I had small children with me. She informed me there was no technician on duty but could be there the next morning at 9. I agreed but wasn’t happy about it, I also let her know that I didn’t want anyone in our room without one of us there. The next morning comes and we were in the room till almost 12 and still no technician had showed up. I called front desk several times and got no answer. We finally decided that we weren’t going to waste the whole day waiting on a tech so we ventured on to the beach for the activities of the day. We were sitting at a restaurant a little after 6 when the hotel called to let us know that the technician was there and was waiting on us. We had to leave our dinner and meet them at the room. The tv was working when the techs left as they turned the game and cartoons on to ensure it worked. As the evening settled down, we headed to the pool. At the pool my son found a handicap equipped chair in the side of the pool that looked to be useful. Upon inspection found loose wires, broken arm rest and it was not covered or blocked off. Around 9, we called it a night, and went to the room to shower and get ready for bed. While I’m in the shower, I hear a knock at the door and one of my sons say it’s the techs. I told him to tell them to wait until I got dressed before they came in. For what ever reason the tv was working and was not having and issue but yet they came back into the room and said something about a box not being connected. They spent about 20 mins in the room at this time and then left. the services/customer service were terrible. The room itself was very small and compact. It’s great if you are sure that you won’t plan on spending a lot of time in there. Budget wise??? If a trip is in the near future for me to return there, I will definitely choose another...

My wife and I were really looking forward to our stay here, and were immediately disappointed when we pulled up. Nevertheless, we decided to give it a chance. Upon checking in, we were shown to our room right up against a busy street. The room was dark, dingy, and dirty with the only window facing the busy street 10 feet away. The noise levels were incredibly high in the room from the traffic outside the room (dirtbikes and car speakers). When I went to express my concerns with the front desk she reported that this will only be occurring for another hour as it was Sunday. I had a hard time believing that cars and dirtbikes just stop being driven after Sunday.
Next we asked for a refund given the quality of the resort and it's not being as advertised. Barbara at the front desk immediately denied that their hotel had any choice in the matter and that only Expedia (who we booked through) could, and that Expedia would likely be rigid and deny the request. Upon calling Expedia, we were told that it was entirely up to the hotel, and that our agent would have to call the hotel and try to get a refund on our behalf. Upon our agent calling, the refund was immediately denied by Barbara.
I confronted Barbara about this and she immediately became hostile and began to use nonsensical metaphors in an attempt to shame and belittle me. However, she did not deny that she had lied about who was the deciding authority on the refund. She then encouraged me to pay extra for a room further from the street. We had already paid $360 for a Motel 6 stay, albeit a Motel 6 is usually further from the road, and denied her suggestion.
During this exchange, I was finally able to get her to give me the manager's number. The manager was calmer, but repeated the lie that Expedia was the deciding authority over the refund. Expedia, who we still had on speakerphone, denied this as true.
Upon our further attempts with Expedia going nowhere we decided to leave the dingy and dirty room, and attempt to salvage the remainder of our vacation. As I was giving the keys back to Barbara, I overheard her exchange about the hotel having been recently for sale. No wonder no one bought it.
Upon our leaving, the hotel decided to renege on their promise to return 50% of our payment. This was clearly done out of spite, as they had told they’d do so in the beginning of these exchanges (we had demanded a full refund given the quality, treatment, and dishonesty). After a few days, the manager texted me and stated she had refunded half our stay, however, it was not half the money and I had to work to at least get the...
