I bought a furniture set and a large rug from Bob’s discount in Vernon Hills. The sales lady was very helpful so we purchased all the items. When I got my oversized chair it was damaged. So I called and told him my situation and they sent out a new one that was also damaged. So then they set up another delivery for another oversize chair that was also damaged so I called and I told them to have someone check in the warehouse to make sure. The next chair which is the fourth one would be in perfect condition. They said no worries you will not get a damaged oversize chair again. Well today they came, and guess what the chair was the worst chair of all of them. It was ripped on the side of the chair were you could see the wood. I was so furious so I called and I told them that I wanted 50% off the original oversize chair that was damaged. They offered me $75 off and I said you’re joking. I told him I wanted haft off. $250 because the chair. Was $500 and I’m sure that if they came and got it, they would sell it in there outlets for $250 because that’s all it’s worth. So I got two different answers from two different people.I don’t think anyone knows what they’re doing there and I am very very upset. I wasted four different days, waiting for a chair that was not damaged and that never happened. So I called my credit card company and told them to dispute the $250 I’m not sure if they even know what they’re doing. Buyers beware they sell junk for furniture. I would never purchased anything from them again I should’ve done my homework, because if I did, I would’ve never gone there in the first place. But that’s my fault. I am so disappointed in this company. I could just scream terrible customer service. They don’t know what they’re doing and most of them you can’t understand. I don’t even know what they’re saying half the time.. look under the Better Business Bureau and you can read some of the comments on there. They tell you one thing and do. Read moreI wanted to take the time to share my recent experience with Bob's Furniture Store in Vernon Hills. Recently we visited this store to buy more furniture for our new house and to discuss the return of the beds/power bases we had previously purchased. While there we met your amazing salesperson, Rayna. First, she helped us pick out furniture for several rooms in our new house. Her product knowledge & helpful nature (without being pushy) was really impressive. We then told her about our dissatisfaction with our master bdrm. bed and that we were unsure how to return it. And even though this wasn't her dept. or expertise, she told us she would try and help us. Talk about going the extra mile! Without going into too many details here, it took several weeks for this to happen to our satisfaction, but with Rayna's help it did!
There were many times I was ready to give up. Having to deal with different depts., long hold times, and having to repeat my story countless times was really getting frustrating! Rayna kept telling me that Bob's Furniture wanted us to be happy & satisfied customers and wanted our future business too. She didn't just say she was sorry, and let it go. She was persistent, professional, and dedicated to helping us. Certainly, we aren't her only customers, yet she made us feel we were by doing whatever it took to resolve our issues. I absolutely know that without her intervention, our situation would not have been corrected.
Another note of appreciation goes out to your wonderful store manager, Eric. When Rayna made him aware of our situation, he personally called me. And after apologizing and promising to do all he could to resolve our issues, he did just that! He made us feel that he wanted our business too and "walked the talk".
So do yourself a favor if you are looking for new furniture and want a truly caring, professional, knowledgeable sales agent. Ask for Rayna. She is the gold standard that all salespeople should aspire to be. We'll be shopping at Bob's Furniture again and know that by working with Rayna we'll be satisfied customers once again!

Read moreI really wanted to post a good review, but with the call center and store itself our experience so far has been very disappointing. I am not one to usually leave a bad review unless something like this happens. We have been happily waiting for our couch to be delivered to the store so we could pick it up for a few weeks now. I get a call (a call center team member) to schedule the pick up, and I scheduled it with him for Saturday the 14th and get the confirmation email and everything. I get it scheduled and we’re all good. Come Saturday the 14th (today), my boyfriend calls and confirms that we are good to pick up the couch today. Someone from the call center answered and told us we were good to come pick it up from 6:00-6:30pm. We were very excited, made arrangements to get a trailer to get the boxes and everything and get a group of friends to help load everything up etc. Then I get the text to “schedule a pick up” I go to follow the link and it says we can’t schedule for today. I thought it was odd they (call center) told us to come and pick it up today. I call again, lady answers from call center and proceeds to tell us to follow the link to schedule pick up for Sunday or Monday…. After we have already made time and paid for the trailer to pick up for today. I then call the actual store to confirm and they proceed to tell me that they don’t have people in today to be able to move the boxes for pick up. Now we have to schedule for a different day and we are out of time and money. Very very disappointed with lack of communication between call center and stores. Haven’t even gotten the couch yet but I really hope the couch makes up for this whole mess. Might update review if things change or if the couch is beyond amazing in order to give them a 5 star. Hate to be the one to rant, but people should know this stuff if they’re the type to schedule a pick up not to be bamboozled by them. Hoping the couch is worth...
